Seau family banned from speaking at his HOF induction

Benjamin Allbright ‏@AllbrightNFL
Seau requested in his will that his daughter be allowed to give his induction speech. Denying that simple request about to be PR disaster

Holy **** I can't explain how infuriated I am at this. This might be the worst thing this ****ing asshole league has done yet.

I don’t know, I get annoyed when people bash the league that made them millionaires for playing a game once a week for less than a third of the year. Injuries are part of the game.

Whoaaaaaaaaa. Goodell is one paranoid mofo. One day we'll all be talking about the shady stuff that got exposed as happening under his tenure.

I believe the NFL now has a policy whereby they show videos of deceased inductees, so it is not like they are specifically going after Seau and his family, even they though have a lawsuit going against the NFL.

This league is becoming a bigger piece of **** every single year. No wonder soccer is starting to gain popularity in the states.

Oh my, this post. Where to begin.

His daughter was going to grant the man's dying wish by inducting him into the HOF. There wasn't going to be any mention of his CTE in her speech. This is a heartless and quite frankly, evil thing to do to Junior Seau and his family and if you can't see that, then you're beyond help.

Some media outlet will offer her an opportunity to speak, and now the focus WILL be on everything they were trying to keep her from saying.

The league is likely scared that his family will use the podium to point the finger at the NFL for his suicide and other NFL players brain injuries.
However denying his daughter the opportunity to speak is wrong.
The league should let them speak and say what they will.
Goodell is an ass clown if he follows through with this...

It's sickening. Seau deserves the honor of his daughter present him. The other recipients should refuse to give a speech unless Seau's daughter is allowed to honor her father.

Seau did so much for the league and was so selfless in not only his play style, but what he gave back to his teammates and organizations. I have yet to hear one person say a bad word about Seau. For the NFL and the HOF to disrespect his legacy in this way is just disgraceful.

It's a dumb ass policy. Way to **** all over a person just because they are dead. I can almost understand it for an inductee that played in the 30s or something, but for a guy who only got out of the league 5 years ago, such a policy should be waived.
