I truly think Saban is going to regret the decsion of releasing Seau. Yea hes alwyas injured and hes not that good anymore but he was a huge force on the sideline and he was a key veteren. Does anybody else agree that Saban will regret releasing Seau.

Welcome to the real world Bro

I disagree with your premise. I think Wanny desperately needed players like Junior, but Saban does not. He provides enough leadership for the whole team by himself. It's good to have leaders, but Saban will just demand somebody else step up.

we needed the room under the cap, plus Seau has been on IR the last two seasons, He is a great LB, but I think he should retire. Was sure glad he was a fin while he was

Honestly, the cheerleader comment isn't too far off. If he's that great a presence, make him assistant to the LB coach and pay him what he's worth off the cap.

No....

I'm not taking anything away from Seau, he's a true class act, and a rare breed in this league. I thank him for his time here, but we've got to focus on the future now and move on without him. He's a Charger at heart, and now he can retire in class. Best wishes Junior!!!!....

PHINZ RULE!!!

yea seau was a true leader but the defense still has leaders in jason taylor, zach thomas, and kevin carter.....he would of hurt the cap too much to stick around and at the end of the day it could of possibly have been a seau or brees choice and we all know who saban would take

sounds more like to me, he should be a coach, not a player!

This is scary and don't EVER expect it to happen again, but I actually agree wit ya. j/k
I knew it was gonna happen and really didn't mind the cut. And no I see no way Saban will ever look back and think this move was a mistake. In the days in which we live, players like Jr, making as much as he was making, it was a nobrainer. He had to go.

Dude, i love seaus heart and pride, but not his bank. He's a great player, i hope he comes back one more year, maybe go back to the chargers. But hes not worth 3 mill.

Sandusky

The guy was the backbone of our coaching staff over the last twenty years---my condolences go out to his family and his friends

Sorry guys this was meant to be a new thread

Seau is a luxury we could not afford. We have to reduce our cap deficit so that we can sign younger promising players. There are others that can assume the leadership role.He is in the twilight of his great HOF career and I hope he retires to be a coach.
