So is there any reason AT ALL for Saban not to have cut Seau already? If it seems like a done deal then why wait? Why not cut Seau with the others (Madison)? Although VERY unlikely, maybe he likes Seau's heart and wants him to restructure to stick around 1 more year (I wish but probably not) But if not then why wait?

I don't quite get this either, unless Seau has shown that he's healthy already and he has vowed to take a pay cut.

I'm guessing that Seau has already agreed to restructure his deal to play one more year for a cap friendly figure. Saban loves him and Seau is like a coach on the field. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see Junior end up on Saban's coaching staff in another year if he desires.

Like most, I think that they are working with Seau on a restructure. Also, it doesn't make much sense to do too much cutting until we are closer to the deadline. They might even think that there will be an extension afterall and Seau won't be the most important cut to make...

It's all speculation, but I wouldn't worry too much about this particular cut, there's still time...

So far Saban didn't do antyhign 2 stupid... So i'm positive, that he has his own plan going on.

I would love to keep Seau, He has so much heart, and I think he is the perfect Mentor...

He is also one of my wife's fav players.

I think he deserves another year as long as he restructers...

I am a Seau fan. I think he shows great heart and leadership however its time for the future. He has not been healthy for some time and Willie Mcginest is a better option for us right not if he becomes a free agent. Seau is done in Miami I think. I would like to see him come back, But only for the Vet Min. We really need to get younger.

Yeah but he cant stay on the field too long these days.

If Seau is willing to take a pay cut then I would love to have him back.He is a graet locker room guy and and all around good mentor to have. And Hey maybe Saban is thinking about drafting another Lb for Seau to tudor.go fins:dolphins:

im a big fan of seau and would love to see him on this team but theres too many good FA that can help this team such as willie mcginest, plus seau does have a problem with injuries....however he is a huge mentor on the field and really helps the D get pumped up

Maybe they're giving him the chance to retire before he gets cut.

I thought Seau signed a 3 year deal when we got him. As in last season was his last year. How does he have any years left?
