Every day that passes from the day after the Super Bowl til March 5th and Porter has not been released, means that Parcells and co. are working on trying to find a possible trade for Porter. This would be good news if we are able to get something for Porter. So, at least, we can feel comfortable that they are attempting to get a trade out of this. Or that a team could be showing interest.

It's common sense that somebody would be interested. Or at least I thought it would be. Anyone saying Porter has no trade value whatsoever simply has no clue. I expect him to be traded to Arizona personally.

Yeah, would be awesome if they can find a way to trade Porter for Rolle in a deal. :jcane:

I'd be shocked if they couldn't get something for him, even if its a conditional 2011 pick. I wouldn't count out the Raiders either.

Maybe they learned something with the Roth fiasco
when we received squat for a decent, young linebacker

I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet. Just because they didn't release him on Monday doesn't mean much. They have a full month to make a move.

Yeah, which is the point of the OP, that everyday that he isn't released points to the fact that they are 'at least' working the phones and/or getting some type of interest.

This is what people aren't realizing. The Phins will more then likely wait until the last day before Porter is due his bonus before they cut him. OR they will wait until speaking with every team to see if anyone is interested and when they find that every team would rather wait until he is cut, they will cut him. I'm going to guess that they maybe get a 6th or something, but that may be pushing it. Everyone knows he will be cut, why would anyone want to give away a draft pick higher then a 6th for a guy they can try to get once FA starts.

Teams are willing to give higher draft picks to ensure they get the player they want. If Porter is released he has the final decision in deciding where he wants to play thus he may not sign with a team who wants him.

Why not hang him out to dry, if he wants to bad mouth the franchise then wait until the last second and kick him out.

They could of just taken Monday off. It is only Tuesday, and I dont think anyone really has been released from other teams, even those who have already been informed that they would be released.

If they took off monday, I'm taking off a game of buying tickets and dolphins gear.

Would be classic to trade him to Detroit, Cleveland, or Oakland for a 7th. Just to spite him and force him to play on a crap team.
