Secondary...

I haven't been able to watch some of the preseason games, but how is our secondary? This is the only area I think is having problems.

Will Allen and Andre Goodman have been performing well, though Goodman is probably the one to stand out the most... T. Daniels has been nursing an ankle injury and lots of our corners have been injured... Eddie Jackson started the preason pretty rough I believe, but I think he rebounded to be more solid player... the starting secondary has been the best and the reserves have shown that depth is an issue for us... J. Allen had to switch b/t Corner and Safety, combining with his holdout, to stall his promising developement... Travares Tillman will likely start along R. Hill at Saftey, with Will Allen and Andre Goodman starting at corner (Goodman starts until Daniels returns from injury)...hope this helped...

His status is pretty much up in the air...he returned to practice I believe, but Saban hasnt said whether he would be ready for gameday for sure...

Well none of us know ! You will see on Thursday. You just never know till opening day, It truly has been a concern of ours because in a preseason game our DB's got burned big time (Not the last one...:wink: )
Coach Saban knows, and he didnt make any drastic moves during the cuts, so that should say something.

Well lol, it happens to the best of them . . .sometimes the offense runs a play and gets by the defense, it will happen. We just gotta minimize the mistakes and it will be manageable. We have a good pass rush and good safeties along with 2 average but capable guys at corner who are always improving. We will be good there.

Nothing has been confirmed either way but Goodman looks set to start and might be the safest option instead of throwing TD in at the deep end.

That was the 2nd and 3rd string that got beat so bad. Our first string DB's did NOT give up a single TD in preseason! Please get your facts straight. :fire:
