Practice Squad
Just a quick note to my "family" members here that I will be gone for three weeks and will likely not have computer access during that time.
The first week plus is vacation. I'm taking my bride to Gettysburg for a history tour and dinner at the Dobbin House, a 1776 inn. Then we are on to Lancaster, PA for Historicon and the World Boardgaming Championships. It is my other hobby than the Dolphins. These are mostly miniatures games, old Avalon Hill games, and their modern counterparts. I have been at them since 11th grade which is only a couple of years less than I've followed the Phins.
After the time there, I will be at the Churchwide Assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. In my "real life" I was elected to the Church Council two years ago. That is the board of directors of the denomination. I have responsibilities at each of the next three biennial assemblies. This year it is at Navy Pier in Chicago. I return to Oak Harbor, OH late on Sunday 8/12 and one of the first things I'll do is turn my computer back on and check with you folks.
So keep my place warm. When I return I will have passed my fifth birthday on the site and will be eager for Phins news. Best wishes to all and know that I will keep you all in my prayers.
