Seems like too many people want Miami to win each year...

but then worry about next year's salary cap. If you don't swim towards the shore, you drown. You can't tread water forever. I'm happy with today's trades.
The last time we attempted something like this - to really make a run - was when the FO knew Marino’s window was closing and Shula and co went out in ‘92 and got Keith Jackson and then Byars, Eric Green, Gary Clark, Ricky Sanders, Steve Emtman, Mike Golic, Fryar, Ingram and on and on. Incidentally, the ‘92-‘94 teams were the last teams we had that made any serious pursuit of a championship. 🤔

Fans shouldn't care about a salary cap. There are very highly paid people that take care of that.

Fans should worry about kicking ass on Sundays.

To be fair, there are very highly paid people that take care of that too, but I understood what you meant. The salary cap is a real thing, and we should definitely be aware of it because it guides our decision making, but thankfully our front office has shown they can manage the cap well. So there really isn't much to fret on that front.

To state the obvious, it's a fan forum. Members are allowed to worry and post about things that are unimportant to others and/or far removed from the next game. I'm concerned about the cap, but it's a low priority

We all want to win as soon as possible but I don’t want to win a SB and then be irrelevant for another 30 years because we screwed up the cap.

Having said that, I'm happy with both trades but let's not be reckless either.

One of the keys to me is the fact that Chubb is 26. So even though we’re “all in” now, he’s a long term piece. Phillips and Chubb should be our edges for the next 5 years. It’s hugely valuable to have two young top edge talents locked in—some would say (and I’m one of them) it’s the most important building block for a defense.

I'm okay with that. Never seen one with the Fins in it, much less win it. I was only 4 in 83

I agree with the sentiment of the post. I'm also a rational-thinking person whose mind is drawn toward the "bigger picture" perspective; all of it is part of my fan experience. With that said, I am also happy with the trades and hope Chubb will work out cap friendly deal. A 1st round pic for a rental would suck really bad.

I don’t know man I think I’d be more than willing to trade 30 years of suck for a super bowl win in my lifetime. We already have 30 years of suck and no SB win and I’m not getting any younger. I’m starting to get old man balls.

Point and case LALA Rams.

Got thier SB and have a couple premiere players left.

But zero depth, especially in the trenches.

It's already caught up to them a few months later.

F them picks until you are 3-4 and getting your QB killed every game.
