Select-A-Seat Day today

Thanks for the info quick question. So my Dad and I have season tickets and we live in Indiana. We were thinking
about the Finatic package. I know you most of the events are in the offseason. However what package would you recommend for season ticket holders put of state? Not sure if you got any extra info at the stadium.

We got some of the basic info but nothing how it could be used for out-of-towners. It is really a personal choice. I picked the social package mainly because of the yacht party and that I can host my fantasy football draft at SunLife. That sounds like fun. Beats breakfast with Ross by a mile.
What level are your season tix?

I wish I could afford to fly in for home games. I grew up in South Florida played ball at Nova Southeastern but then moved to San Diego which is probably the best city in America. Then I was stationed in Honolulu. I'm moving back to San Diego in a few weeks. Anyways.....

I'd love to be a member and go to Fins games, but unless the govt start paying enlisted guys more dough it ain't happening. So more direct TV Sunday ticket and more Dolphins jerseys and hats.

San Diego is a great city as a second option to live in though. If I could live anywhere other than south Florida it might be there.

San Diego > South Florida by like a Million. I miss the West Coast.

They don't pay me. Despite my criticism I still support them. And as a local I see it as my 'duty' to have season tickets. They sure have done their home work when it comes to fans this offseason.

Here is another tidbit you can bitch about: our designation is not seasonticket holder or fans anymore but rather "members". It is just a cosmetic thing but I am sure you can get a thrill out of it trashing this as well.

I can only hope for you that the Dolphins suck next year because otherwise you look really crappy with your constant bitching and whining.

Calm down Cowboy, just because my eyes have opened to the nitwits running our favorite team into the ground, doesn't mean I bitch about everything. I am rather level-headed about this team actually. I don't hesitate to compliment the team or even utter fools like Ross when they actually do something worthy of applause.

Unfortunately, I feel that financially supporting the current structure of the organization as it is does more harm than good right now. I won't be putting my money into Ross' coffers until either:

A.) The current regime creates a consistent winning product

OR

B.) A new PROMISING regime is brought in, not one cobbled together with NFL leftovers (which is usually the modus operandi of Stephen Ross)

I am calm. And I do have criticized Ross and Philbin heavily in the past. But I do lay blame where blame belongs and don't blame just because it fits my general opinion. And as much as I criticize Ross I am also applauding him for the new structure and offers for seasonticket holders. As much as I wanted Philbin gone I do give him a chance with a new OC.
I also criticized Tannehill but I do hope that he pans out.

The difference between you and I is very simple. While I criticize I also recognize things which are being done properly. You on the other hand are so full of dislike that you could not even be happy if things went well next year. Your first post in this thread is a symbol for that. I post something positive for seasonticket holders which doesn't affect you and which was an issue for many years for us and you make a stupid comment/question like if I get commission. And yes it was an utterly stupid comment which reflects your entire attitude. Bitch about fans and attendance yet complain if something positive is done for fans in hopes to put butts in the seats.

For years seasonticket holders fellt like "money carriers". We dropped the dollars off and nada. Not even a good product on the field. Besides good seats there was no benefit to being a seasonticket holder. This has changed. So while I criticize Ross in some areas I give him credit for the right hires in this department and realizing changes have to be made.
And let's not forget that seasonticket holders generally have to be more positive why else would you spend money in advance? To sit there all season long and scream "Philbin go home" or "Ross you suck". The only one you are annoying are the people around you and doing it at home Ross and Philbin will hear you just as well  - and you save money.

Winning is important. No doubt. But you also have to create a product which is appealing to the fans outside the season. Otherwise why buy seasontickets. Might as well buy tickets when they come out. Seasonticket holders are the heart of every franchise. Based on the number of seasonticket holders you can negotiate advertising contracts etc. And seasonticket holders are more worth than the average SkapePhin. If you spend $1000/year on the Miami Dolphins as an out-of-towner (which I doubt) I am worth more than 10-times of your value to the Dolphins. So yes winning is important but there is much more to it in getting and holding seasonticket holders.

They are doing the right thing with seasonticket holders this offseason so far. If we will have a winning product we will see beginning in September. Since Hickey and Lazor are new chapters in our book we have no clue how the next season will turn out. As a seasonticket holder I do have to have the hope that it will be better and despite my criticism I will always reflect that hope in posts.

I hope my calm explanation is clear enough for you.

Let's rent a place together (no ****).

I wouldn't mind getting away from Colorado in the late Fall. Septembers are perfect here but November and December can be chilly. I know a guy who flies to every Dolphins game, and he lives outside of Florida. I cannot afford to do this just yet but maybe in about ten years. Getting a nice party house in South Beach would be awesome.

People watching in TV are more valuable actually.

TV revenue drives the league.

For the NFL you are correct. But the NFL is a revenue sharing organization.

For the Dolphins stadium ads make the bulk of advertisement as direct dollars and that is based on attendance. Because even if the game is on TV (i.e. CBS) there is boatload of advertisement which can only be seen in the stadium. Secondly the prime add space which you can see during the game on TV increases locally with TV exposure. Why do you think Ross made sure that the games are in TV? Not because he is such a great guy. When it comes down to it the cost of paying for empty seats were less than ad dollars coming in.
