Just a little insight from the Miami locals please. Is it true that our attendance at home games is usually lacking? I have been to a few Cardinals games, and to no surprise, there is usually a few 100 empty seats. But I figured that wouldnt be the case in Miami... Please enlighten me.

Regardless, good to see this weeks game is a sellout. How many seats are in Joe Robbie stadium?

Thanks Nubes. Any idea of the average attendance. If it didnt cost so darn much to fly from the desert, I would come see a few myself

average the past few years has been low 73,000 high 72,000... but when we were winning it was high 73,000 low 74,000.

It's not called Joe Robbie Stadium anymore, it's Pro Player now.

You don't have to be there to see how many seats are empty... it's pretty obvious on TV. Either people don't show up, or the pretzel lines are REALLY long.

I doubt there are actually 72,000 people in the seats.....there looks like there are at least 5,000 no shows if not more every week...I think attendance just counts seats sold and not the actual amount in the stands.

I saw that at the Dolphins site.

http://www.proplayerstadium.com/facts.asp

They state:

Full-Time Use For Baseball
Seating Capacity 47,662

The 2005 Media Guide states:

they do taste good...Marlins games used to have some dank peanuts too

I'm not attacking the poster but I'm sick of hearing about our fans sucking so bad. Like I stated earlier in the week..the Raiders supposedly have some of the "oh bestest fans" yet when they scanned the stadium I saw more empty seats then I have at Miami games this year. I could have sworn there was literally a whole section or two with nobody in it.

I was at the Home opener against the Broncos which was declared a sellout and let me tell you there were at least 3000 seats empty.

i think its worth pointing out that not every stadium holds 70,000 + people. there are quite a few that only hold 50,000 +
