The details of the arrest of Purdue wide receiver Selwyn Lymon were made available in court yesterday and you can't make this stuff up. Here is what not to do when the police show up at your house to investigate a domestic disturbance call.

1. Get in your buddy's truck and drive away.

2. Drive away with a blood alcohol content of 0.15.

3. Drive away in a car that does not have an ignition interlock device as stipulated in your previous drunk driving case.

4. Park said car in a handicap space across the street.

5. And finally, don't do this.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Tippecanoe County prosecutor's office, Lymon had a blood-alcohol content of at least 0.15 percent -- nearly twice the legal limit to drive in Indiana. He had red, glossy eyes and slurred speech, and during the arrest he urinated on himself.

Lymon arrived at a hospital about 2:45 a.m. with a stab wound to the upper chest and told medical workers that he was attacked at a near-campus nightclub, said John Walker, deputy chief of West Lafayette Police Department. Lymon, 20, of Fort Wayne, was in stable condition before going to surgery at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette, police said. An updated condition was not immediately available from hospital officials.
