There's a sense in the Dolphins locker room that Mike Sherman will and should be gone.

and from Jeff Darlington

Playcalling is 1 reason to consider firing Mike Sherman. Guidance is another. Some players believe Tannehill needs to graduate from Sherman.

Whether you want to blame him, Ireland, Tannehill, or whoever I don't really care. The offense was bad a majority of the season. Also, if ya'll remember it was reported earlier this year that the offensive players were not thrilled with Sherman's playcalling.

Also worth noting that it looks like the Browns will be firing Rob Chudzinski after 1 year

I think at minimum, this seems to be one instance where you listen to the players.

Here is what I will KEEP harping on over the next few days: IF you want to get rid of Sherman, but keep Philbin, who the hell is going to want that job? Joe enters next year on the hot seat. The OC job could be one and done (see Brian Daboll). My point is you are not going to be able to hire a difference maker at OC.

Sooooo, you either keep Sherman OR you fire Joe and start over.

Sherman I can take or leave.....I want to see Irelands sorry ass gone!

I think if they were to get rid of Ireland and Sherman all will be well. Just a few things off the top of my head also; we need Guards x2, LBs x2, OT x2, a Beast RB with Lamar Miller to spell. Get rid of Wheeler, Carroll and Daniel Thomas. Resign Brent Grimes and hope Patterson recovers.

Bring in somebody young and imaginative, enough with the ancients at offensive coordinator.

True. 2014 is setting up to be another 2011

We need to start by firing Ireland and hiring a new GM. Then we need to let the new GM decide if he wants to work with Philbin or hire someone else. No arranged marriages this time we want to have a GM and HC with the same philosophy who want to work together.

Players need to shut up and play and stop giving advice on who should be coach.....what difference does the coach make when these same players miss their assignments, drop passes and can't tackle.....if I had the choice of ether keeping Sherman or keeping the LB we have I would take Sherman in a heart beat........

If Philbin stays this is the big test. Can he find the right guys. And yes it matters. Not the same situation but way back when, Tom Coughlin was on the hot seat he took a gamble and hired an LB coach from the Eagles to be his DC, and that move saved his job
