Seriously, Denver doesn't concern me

Out of curiousity, why is Saban saying this before our first game?

(On how difficult it will be for him to see the process develop from week to week) – “Well, that’s how we are going to get better. If we focus on the results and get frustrated with the results and don’t continue to teach and try to get our team better and identifying the technical aspects of what we need to do to get better and get emotional about it, because our little ego is getting fried in the newspaper, because we lost a couple of games, then we are not going to do as good of a job with our players and we are not going to get better. Then we are not going to make good decisions about what we do and what we don’t do. That’s not going to help us get better. It is what it is and we are going to work to make it better and that’s what we have to do. I don’t like to lose. I don’t expect to lose. I expect that we have as good a chance and as good of players to perform as well as we need to be successful in every game, but if we aren’t, we want to be technical about what need to do to fix those things so we get better. We have to have the right kind of people to respond to those things. That is important, as well. The most important things is to get the right kind of people on your team, so that they do respond and they do get better.â€Â

I need a positive spin on this. This guy sounds to me like he's warning us to expect the worst

b/c he's a brand new coach in the NFL and history tells you that you need time to develop your system. Very few coaches are capable of coming in their first year and making a playoff run. The guys that have done it have started with good teams. The Bucs and Gruden immediately come to mind. That team was Dungy's. Gruden putting the finishing touches on them...the easy part. Wanny didn't leave you guys sitting too pretty. Lots of holes on the O-Line...though Vernon Carrey will be good. Lots of holes on the DL though obviously Jason Taylor is still one of the best in biz. Here's where it gets really scary. The DL isn't getting any younger. An influx of youth is needed in several areas on your team. RB is set. TE is set. You have Chambers and Booker who have atleast 4 or 5 more years of good production. QB? OL? DL? LB's? Secondary? Obviously guys like Crowder and Carrey are steps in the right direction... but losing Bowens was national media material for you guys. That speaks volumes toward the depth and talent along the D-Line. I wouldn't be suprised in the least bit if a few of the guys we cut ended up in Miami...and that wouldn't be a bad thing for you guys. We were sorry to see Dorsett Davis and Mario Fatafehi leave. Both of them would be good additions for your DL!

i´ve got news for you, if its a close game in the 4th the broncos will be pretty battered by the heat, i think miami has a good chance of winning if we go with a slim lead or tie in the 4th

I'd have to agree 110% with that. As a Bronco fan I'm worried if there's 2 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter and we're tied or down by a few. Our guys will be gassed and we have a few older guys that won't repond too well I'm afraid.

hahaha i love how confident some of you are that all your prayers have been answered but heres some facts for you guys to choke on

the broncos last season the broncos had the number 3 or 4 defense in the league and guess what it has been improved we brought back ian gold giving us the most formidable corps of linebackers in the league

trevor pryce is coming back and is at full health a huge impact player who missed last season

lenny walls who was supposed to start last season but got hurt has returned to full health and had a great pre season improving our secondary

now back to offense that was in the top 5 last season that has improved lets start with o-line the entire o-line are back at their orignal posistions and are coached EXTREMELY well mike anderson is back and will pound out your defense and then tatum bell will have a hayday running over you better than he did last year

now the weakest part of our team last season was special and what did shanahan do he went and picked up saurburn a pro bowl punter darrant williams a speed demon return man and resigned keith burns our special teams captain

i know some of you will be like big deal a new punter and a better return man well when the punter averages someting like 50 yards a punt and darrant williams can return all day i'll think you notice that we will have amazing field posistioning all game and feild posistion is vital to success
Yeah, I think that "feild posistion" will do it for you. My guess is that you are either in about second grade or you have a glass pipe in your hand. AND you root for a team
with a jackass on their helmets. And on the sidelines.

Look...it's already been illustrated that you had a cakewalk season schedule-wise so you're ratings are bound to be inflated...It has also been illustrated that you aquired and are starting several members of the 31st ranked defense against the run last year.

They were ranked 32nd. You were ranked 31st...by 12 yards.

your right, but both teams got rid of their DTs.

For the Dolphins, one guy retired and the other got cut

For the Browns, their DTs ended up in.......Denver

by the way, orange for life, 2 of Jake's 6 INTs were LAST year, at Mile High.

But I'm sure you knew that.

:nana:

Are Byroan and wharfrat together,hahahahahaha

That's the facts....:rofl3:

as a dolphin fan i feel weird saying this, but to the guy that said denver has been outscored 110-10 in the past couple years in the playoffs but it seems to me you have forgotten the dismal playoff appearence against the jaguars when the dolphins lost
63-7 Thats a sad day in dolphin history

I mean we straight own them. The have never won in Miami, we flat own Plummer and even Broncos fans are questioning whether Shanahan is done or not. I'll take Saban, at home, opening day, over Jake the Fake anytime.

Remember they BARELY beat us at their house last year, and we are much improved, just by having Saban we are a better team than last year.

At this point a HS team should concern you, when you were one of the worst teams in the league last year every team should concern you.

By the way, Did you own them when they beat you 38-3 in the playoffs in '98?
