I am usually a pretty positive guy but watching this whole situation unfold is depressing the crap out of me. It seems Manning wasn't even going to talk to us, we had to go to him as a favor from Marino. We are low balling Matt Flynn. If we are stuck with Matt Moore as a starter, we are screwed! We traded our best player and top 5 receiver for 2 third round pics, when we just used 2 seconds to get him a couple of years ago. Our receiving core is now well below average, with a QB who is about the same. Then I watch the Patriots quietly land 2 very good receivers. Seriously, WTF? Our big move is we re-sign Soliai? No one wants to come here because Ireland is a dirt bag!

I like the Head Coach hire, but what is he going to do with no QB and no receivers? I guess that whole win now speach a couple of weeks ago was complete BS! We have went from a 7-8 win team to a 3-4 win team. I love the Dolphins man! It has been a hard erosion of a once storied franchise since Don and Dan left. I hate to say it but we are now the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns of the past....only having our perfect season that happened 40 years ago to hang our hat on. Sad thing is our owner is completely ignorant to the fact that Ireland is freaking killing us!

Anyways, rant over! Needed to get that off my chest. I will cheer my a$$ of every game, like I have for 35 years now and hope someone can slap some sense in to our owner or he sells the team!

If we're a 3 win team then you better make that a no win team. Not going to ****ing want another season of no quarterback.

If you have no quarterback, you have no future, plain and simple. And that's what we are at now.

Any great QBs coming out next year? Maybe Barkley?

If you're going to tank the season, no better way to do it than go into the season with Matt Moore as your QB, and Brian Hartline as your #1 WR. Blow for Barkley in full effect.

Screw tanking a season, thats not what the dolphins are about. Well the real dolphins of the past. Sparanos stench and ireland reputation have lowered the dolphins reputation beyond belief and since ross didnt clean house, we still have that stench in miami. Peyton wanted no part of us and neither does any other free agents besides flynn. Only reason flynn visit miami is cause of the philbin connection. My prediction is and i hope i am wrong, flynn picks seatle because he gets advice from ppl around him to get away from the dysfunctional dolphin of last year. Thats the reputation sparano left us with. Repairing it aint going to be easy. I really hope im wrong but we really have nothing to make us believe otherwise at this point.

No that's not what the Dolphins are about - the Dolphins love collecting 7-9 seasons and becoming completely irrelevant. They're the new Lions.

Could care less at this point. Go into the season with Moore at QB and Hartline the #1. No problem for me. I'll get the Blow for Barkley bandwagon rolling early. We won't be worth a **** next season anyways, might as well do what all the other competent franchises do when they know they're going nowhere. Tank. Rebuild. You can't rebuild with mediocrity. You have to tank for a QB the same way teams tank for superstars in the NBA. Only way we're going to get out of this mess because no team is going to hand us a franchise QB, and we're going nowhere without one.

I hear ya man. We've been in a downward spiral for far too long I agree. I really believe it's b/c of the long term effects from the turnstile of ownership and management over the last decade / the major instability with infrastructure.

While I'm also trying to stay positive, I'm thinking of how the team will pull out of that spiral. I've concluded that the only way out is when Philbin establishes himself as a solid head coach and establishes a reputable program (hopefully by the conclusion of this season). At which point, may be able to gradually attract bigger name / better quality athletes and the supporting staff that we desire in future off seasons. Our team just needs to regain prestige through incremental developmental progress per year and winning. I look at what the 49ers (ironically now a potential suitor for Manning) have done in such a short time frame, and can only hope Philbin can reestablish our team just as quickly.

Parcells and Co. really messed us up bad, but I'm glad we have a fresh start w/ a new coach. I hope Philbin and lot can now right the ship.

Philbin Era
Chapter 1...

We still haven't drafted yet, and Free Agency isn't over, so let's not throw in the towel yet. But to answer someone's question earlier, next year's QB draft class could be huge. We can definitely get a bigtime QB in 2013 draft...

Tanking the season is a great idea for fans, especially when your team needs a franchise QB and one is there. Unfortunately for guys whose livelihood depends on winning it is not a good idea. This really makes it dumb for us to even talk about. Too many players and coaches who don't have a clear future with the team and quite frankly don't give a rats ass about the future of the team.

Wait, wait, wait..Can everyone just relax a minute? I know what is being said here, I've been with this team for decades. What we root for is the colors and that angry dolphin on the helmet. All is not lost.
Before we talk of tanking the season, we have to believe that Philbin is different than meatball, and he may bring 2-3 wins by just himself. We did make ourselves first in line for Winston, but he wanted more money. I think the FO may be thinking Blackmon. Not alot of talk from the Fins on him, so it may be secretly in the cards.
But the draft is coming guys. It is possible Philbin is bringing build throught the draft cred here.
Not many liked Pouncey picked at 15 last year, but he has grown on most everyone. So let's wait for the draft to see if we really stink this bad as it seems.
If we lock up Flynn, and get him with receivers early, they can get that chemistry going immediately. Im not opposed to a RT in the first. If we can have a kick butt line, and Flynn / Moore gets another second or two to throw, thats good!
All I ask is that we wait for the draft before we start talking tank the season, and playing Darkly for Barkley.

It might not be a good idea for Ireland, because he should of been **** canned years ago. Philbin will be alright.
