...but now that he is hurt, if Ephraim shines, could it be bad news for Seth next year? He hasn't gotten bull rushed as much as last year....do you guys still want him gone - I must admit - I have softened on my Seth-be-gone stance.

I must admit ,Seth has played better this year, but a upgrade
wouldn't hurt.

I'd agree that he has been playing better this year, but I also feel that he is still a weak link on an improved offensive line. But that's my perception.

At any position we feel we can upgrade we should. Although Seth isnt getting beat like he did last year, he still doesn't help our other lineman very well. Jeno James is having a bit of a down year, and ive seen more then 1 occasion where Seth had no one to block, and he couldn't help Jeno out.

One thing I like that we are doing with Seth this year is getting him on the perimeter. Hes pretty athletic, last year we didn't pull him at all, Houck is using our OLinemans strengths.

maybe better, not good, IMO he never starts in aqua and orange again.

As much as it sucks for Seth, it's good for us, he will indeed be cheaper now that he's an injured OL on the market.

I'm on the fence about Seth now for a few reasons.

Ad Hoc Analysis:
NEG: I think he's called for holding the most out of the Phins OL. He's not a powerhouse, aggressive type. He doesn't seem to have any real savvy (yet). He's a little slow in helping out the guy next to him as needed.

POS: He's pretty good pulling. He is considered to be a smart player. He no longer gets pushed back all the time (looks like he's learning to use his strength and leverage). can he improve even more?
he looked decent against a stout Chargers D ('till he got hurt).

I'd be interested to see if anyone else has a breakdown for Seth.

I'd also be curious if anyone has done an OL analysis for the chargers game. DMac also looked decent, while Rex and esp. Jeno seemed to struggle with their assignments at times. Vernon still needs improvement in run blocking.

Seth has been playin alright for being Seth... He is still far from being a really good C. I think we still go after a C in FA this offseason... and draft a road grater type RT...

He has been playing well, but he still gets hit with too many penalties. As happy as I am with Seth's improvment, if Ephraim proves to play better, he should jump in front of Seth.

Screw that. Get me Bentley!

Bentley and a first round tackle (if the team can't get a QB) and watch this line grow into a top 3 line under Houck.

Imagine the growth of Bentley under a tutor like Houck.
