Seth McKinney signs with Browns

Browns signed G/C Seth McKinney to a one-year contract.
McKinney is versatile, young (27) and has 34 starts on his resume, but coming off a serious back injury. He'll try to rehab his career in Cleveland.

He will be the backup Center in Cleveland. Seems like Atlanta and Cleveland helped us today by not letting us sign the trashy players we had on this line. Fonoti and Seth will both be backups at best. While Seth will be the backup C, Fonoti might not even make the team.

I had hoped we would be able to trade him to Cleveland, but we had to cut him before his bonus kicked in. Would have been nice to get a 5 or 6 for him.

Seth was a high draft pick for a center and his brother Steve was solid with the Colts. Seth was fast and strong in his measurables, but had poor leverage for a center. He had long legs and a short torso and had no ability to stay low enuff to keep the gigantic nose guards from mauling him. Switched to guard showed a little better but nothing special and is injury prone.
