I went to the Dolphin's practice Tuesday morining and saw DT after DT, DE after DE completely blow up Seth McKinney. I've said it for years now, this guy can't play. He was the true weakness with our line last year. We need another option. So my question is, is there a decent center in the NFL right now competing for a job with a younger player that we could possibly pick up in August?

Anyone have any thoughts?

McKinney is the problem. He must be replaced.

GO PHINS!!

I think, everyone should calm down. if the coaches believe mckinney is the best we've got, then hes the best we've got.

Sounds like you are looking for him to fail. How did he do in making line calls, providing double teams on DT's and getting through to the LB's on run plays? (which are his real responsibilities at center)

You make a good point. My thinking is this, he gets pushed back a lot on pass pro so he must be damn good on the line calls. That's why he's out there. In the mental aspect of the game he's firing on all cylinders. That must be the case bc/ in the physical aspect of the game he is overmatched more times then not.

I seem to recall that one of Seth's weaknesses is that he makes slow line calls or the wrong calls :shakeno:

St Clair was an all american at center in college. dont know why he is not used there.

He used to struggle with line calls so if that is now his strong suit me thinks we are in trouble. IMO I''d like to see St. Claire get a shot at center. He was an all american center in college so how bad can he be? I think the coaches keep getting hung up on how versatile St. Claire is and as a result don't give him a home in which he can really excel.

I think the coaches know way more then any of us on this site do about their own players.
