May be our best pick. Heck, I was one of the first to question it, but apparently in NFL circles this guy was a mover, and is viewed as having great potential. He is an example of one of those guys that folks in the business know about but is oblivious to us as fans. I hope he does well.

Hope thats right. Toledo has the frame and the athleticism regarding quick feet, size and long arms to be an ideal LT. All he needs now is expert coaching and weve got that in Mr Houck. He may show up in the starting lineup next season, not this season obviously due to his inexperience at T. Hes a 1-2 yr project IMO.

I'm sure he's got a world of potential but that extensive injury history really worries me...

Eh, we'll see. The injuries worry me a lot. I mean, this guy seems to be CHRONICALLY injured according to his college history.

When we made the pick I heard Chris Laundry (Fox sports radio say) Ex front office man for several teams including the Titans. " Toledo has excellent feet and lateral movement in two years he can be a probowler" I still think he is nuts but I feel alot better about the pick than I did on draft day

As far as the process towards building the process of improving this football team's process, this young man has a chance to be able to do the things that are necessary so that this process can go forward and we can improve. We will process him, and he will buy into the process, and once the process is finished, we will be able to evaluate things, in terms of the process of how we're going to build towards the future...

Here is how I feel about Toledo so far:

The dude has huge upside and is raw yet accomplished. He is very smart and open to anything the coaches want (thats a big key right there). He is a hard worker with tons of character (there is another key right there). He can get even bulkier/heavier and still be amazing athletically. He is hand picked by Houck, which tells me that they checked his injury's and cannot be anything major or otherwise this would be a stupid pick since Saban looks at everything injury wise and in depth.

Since he is handpicked by Houck, he becomes a guy who Houck will work long hours with to make sure he is everything they invested in. Coaches who have an eye for the talent know that once they have these things in place, they will become a huge deal in a shorter period of time. This guy could end up being our Mark Dixon except better. Very few OL start there first year and when they do, they often end up busts because they are thrown to the wolves too early or expectations are overburdened. Any Linemen we have in mind now is already a two year plan. Alabi needs to show some stuff this year or they will have his replacement in Toledo soon IMO. If he does, I could see Mcintosh going bye bye sooner rather than later. His contract has an open clause in it as I understand it.

I couldn't of said it better myself. I catch myself talking like Saban sometimes too.
