Several Miami Dolphins players reportedly fed up with Mike McDaniel, want to play elsewhere

I think this is true for a couple players who have been vocal, like Tyreek and Ramsey.

BUT, they are always crybaby's no matter where they're playing. I mean they both won Superbowls and then got bounced.

If any other players were cited I would believe this was more of a widespread feeling, but because it's Ramsey and Tyreek...I don't think it's across the locker room.

Doesn’t seem that hard to believe for me. McD has a weird quirky personality, doesn’t really communicate very well in a job where that’s one of the most important things. The team is often ill prepared. I could see it’s wearing on certain guys. I don’t see him as the leader that great coaches normally are jmo

I don’t see him instilling discipline AT ALL. Maybe he’s a positive guy who is big on self belief but that’s different than discipline. All of this has been said ad naseum so why would anyone be surprised or pretend this is implausible ??

Yeah they’re diva types but as you’ve said they’ve both won SBs and are both going to the Hall of Fame so they both have been more successful than McD or Grier at their jobs. Imo they know what it takes to win more than our FO. We should want more than what McD is bringing

Because most of it has been said here.

I have no difficulty accepting that Miami hasn’t been disciplined enough, and that more accountability is needed. However, that seems to have blended in with the name-calling and personal denigration that’s associated with McDaniel.

As much as I think the guy should have been gone at the end of last year, let’s not pretend that some people don’t suggest his coaching and his wardrobe are somehow related, which is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. Those same people conveniently forget that the signature wardrobe item Belichick wore was a hoodie.

I’ve never seen so many people obsessed with how another man dresses. Bottom line is if he wins, nobody will care what he is wearing. Bill Belichick looked like a bum most of the time and nobody cared because he was a winner.
Also, was it Mike Nolan for the 49ers a few years back that wore a suit on the sidelines? Again, nobody cared because he didn’t win and didn’t last very long as a coach.

Exactly this.

I'll just say this. Not EVERYONE on the team has that mentality. We hear it over and over and people start to think that all players in the nfl would choose that. It's 100% false. But it's an easy narrative.
First off, not all players in Miami get "paid". Secondly, in a hyper competitive sport, most players want to win, on top of being the best piece at their position. (I know that's not always the case) I believe Hill is an example of this. He is the biggest piece of **** human being but he got paid, but you can still tell he wants to win. It is why he quit on the team and was talking about wanting to go somewhere else. He wants that ring man. And he knows he isnt going to get it here. Yeah you can say he chose money to be here over winning in KC l but it doesn't negate the competitive nature in him nor does it take away his wanting to win a championship, for bragging rights at the least.
I've played competitive sports all the way to college and I can tell you I would not be happy with a coach like mcdummy. That's just me personally though. I would be pussed off no matter what my status was if I seen "certain" players allowed to do things that others would get cut for...
I played sports also through my college years and played baseball until I was 32, so I get your point. But my sarcasm flew right over your head. Although I do believe there are players who take the pay and choose to go through the motions and lazy about the entire process

do I think mcdaniels has problems sure, but I will say 2 playoffs out of 3 years, 1 game off of 3 playoffs.

people gonna say he didn't win thou.. he took a team that was nowhere, wasnt even an after thought for anything, and made them at times a contender. injures defo hindered alot.

as for his play calls etc, I will give some benefit of the doubt as in, in his entire time here we haven't had a Oline AT ALL.. so do I think he has had to call audibles in his play callling and tryin to find work arounds , yeh I do. ofc if he is in part for the Oline choices then again hard to give benefit of the doubt, problem of his own making.. and before people come out with he was responsible, no one knows for sure if he is or isn't. and I don't believe Griers I defer to much bs, when the coach at the time he drafted Tua, didnt want Tua, sooo that instantly proves he makes the calls and is tryin to blame shift to save his ass from the fire.

now if we seem to have a better oline(not sayin I know for sure we are there yet) but if we have him as a coach with a decent oline, and your still seeing this lateral bs/delayed play calls etc then I cannot and will not defend him, at that time you gotta look at the constant.

That article is pure conjecture. Who are these players if you are going to put this **** out there name them
This is what passes for "journalism" today. This is really sad. The media in our country is a total joke. No integrity, no facts, just conjecture stated as absolute truth. This is what is called a hit piece.

Some of you are changing the convo to his clothes because of that dumb meme but we all know this isn’t about his clothes. He ain’t Tom Landry or Dan Campbell and it has nothing to do with what he’s wearing

I would argue he had a top 5-7 roster at times and hasn’t gotten the best out if it or even that close really. Especially in crunch times we have been a complete mess. I’m surprised he has so many supporters here still tbh. We are coming into the season as most likely bottom 1/3 team.

I don’t understand the constant attachment to mediocrity. It’s fine to not shred the team but the excuses are crazy

BB and Reid would agree with that statement.

In all seriousness, when I read these articles I think Jalen Ramsey and Calais Campbell. Maybe Jevon Holland?
