Seymour traded off to the Oakland Raiders per ESPN on sportscenter just now so sorry no link. Does this help us as much as I think?

Hes a big portion of their defense...well was a big portion.

Yes, he is a big loss for them and it does in fact help us. However, they got a 1st round pick for him. That is very hard to pass up.

I know, I hate to see first round picks stockpile to our enemy... they ALWAYS seem to do it too.

It means we should be happy for now, and hope that the Raiders have a hell of a season next year. If the Raiders play like they have been.. then I'm sorry, but that is NOT good. The Pats having an early 1st rounder and probably a late 1st rounder would really be bad for us.

it means their D will be worse this year but overall better in 2011. they're already thinking about brady's replacement. smart. for now i'm just glad he's not in our division anymore. best 3-4 DE in the game.

Mark it down, the Patriots want Tim Tebow. Not with this pick but they were high on Pat White for their "special formation"

i would cry tears of unfathomable sadness if tebow went to the patsies. :boohoo:

Obviously, it initially makes them a weaker defense. And it is certainly a plus for us that they don't get the first round selection until 2011. Hopefully, the Raiders will be a much improved team by then.

Another interesting trend this offseason is that the Patsies have been playing much more out of a base 4-3 rather than the standard 3-4. I guess that is one of their strategies to stop the wild cat.

Right now, they appear to be much weaker with the loss of Seymore, Bruschi, & Harrison.

Part of me believes he was worth more than a first round pick.

Wow.. Julio Jones anyone? That is a crazy deal. I am glad b/c it makes me feel even better about our chances against the Pats. Hey Nublar, Happy Holidays man. I will have a column for you tomorrow.

It means that they are going to be good for the foreseeable future. They are going to have at least a top 10 pick in 2011 which blows.
