Yeah I know, I’ve been lame of late - combo of crazy hours and insane weekends - pretty much like everyone else on here! Ok so, here’s my take (not worth much, I know) for the coming season:

1. We will surprise a lot of people and NOT finish 3-13, but rather...

2. 11-5. Crazy talk? Nope. 4-2 in the division and 7-3 outside. How?

3. Notice how ex NE defensive coaches make Tom Brady look like a steaming pile of **** lately? Yep, we are going to split w the Pats, possibly sweep them. I see a loss to that scrambling ****ing PIA QB in Buffalo. Only 1x though.

4. Playoffs. Don’t talk to me about playoffs! Yep, may even win division. No Gronk is a big deal and Brady can’t throw it more than 3 yards anymore w regularity. This is finally the year they don’t host a title game.

5. Drake and Ballage will do a lot of damage this year and help us move the chains ala NE style.

6. Rosen will be good. He will start and be successful - at some point this year.

7. Our D will be better by virtue of scheme. You can see we are trying to load up on DBs. I see a lot of mixed coverages designed to confuse and a pass rush that will get home even if it looks like we don’t have anyone that can get into the backfield. Watch.

8. Grant and Wilson will make splash plays again. Stills will catch his 6-8 bombs per season. Some of them game changing. DVP will still suck and be generally unavailable to his team. Bruised labia, vaginitis, swollen testicle, constipation and fragile psyche will sideline him at various moments throughout the year. Don’t worry. Someone will step up. ****, even Carroo and Butler were better than him when given the chance so don’t be shocked when Williams or someone else supplants him from huddle.

9. The TE position will be serviceable. And no, not because the bulb comes on for Gesicki. Or God-sickly the way he looks out there. But a lunch pail guy like Allen or O’Leary will get the job done.

10. DBs will ball. X will ball hawk. Jones will score a couple TDs as usual. Old MacDonald will make his share of plays and tackle better now that we have a coach that can teach how to do that. No more shoulder blows where the back just bounces off. Count on it. Whoever CB no 2 is we are going to hear all season, “and this was a position Miami was worried about going into camp. What a year so and so is having”. Count on it.

11. That Wilkins kid is going to be nasty and make playing defense fun for the group. His personality is infectious. The team will play hard for their coach. Something Gase had them doing until he signed Cutler and lost everyone’s respect. They will compete more like they did when Dan Campbell took over for listless Philbin. Book it. Flores is a man. Period.

12. Charles Harris will still suck and make us cringe a few times w that horribly timed spin move. Harris, Gesicki and Parker will be the biggest disappointments on the team (relative to expectations).

13. The O-line will be good. Top half of the league. Fitzrosen will have time to throw. We’ll open lanes for the backs. Better coaching and talent = better results.

14. Special teams will score 3 TDs via combo of returns and blocked kicks. May decide a game or two.

15. Football will be fun again - despite the leagues meddling and zebras trying to “engineer” who goes to the SB (I feel for you, Saints fans).

Looking forward to 2019!

Why not?! We have talent. Coaching is the key. If this staff is the real deal I believe we will be good. And I think they are the real deal. Real football men. No more Wizards from Harry Potter’s quittage ranks.

I don't agree with all the points but I believe coaching will be leaps and bounds better than the last 3 years and while we might not make the playoffs, at least there won't be games which are decided after the 2nd drive.

I mean if you look at what Gases teams did the last three years on the road you would think he was one of the bottom three coaches in football.. point differential on the road was probably bottom 3, abysmal away performance and results, this may sound crazy but I’m thinking our new home field advantage had more to do with are decent home record then any coaching did..

I like the write up, but what makes you think the o line will be even serviceable much less good?

Maybe they are being coached without the cocaine coaching aid... and maybe they are being coached to be road graders for our rush attack...

Or hell, maybe they are being coached

I think we have w enough solid players + better coaching than last year. I believe we will be a tougher team / more physical and smarter (fewer o-line penalties).

I get the skepticism. I also think that Rosen is going to be good. And if he is, the entire team will lift.

agree with most of the assessment. except our record will be 6-10 or 10-6. its that hard too call. also think gisecki will improve and at least double his production.
