Shaun O'Hara - C - NYG - Aug. 7 - 9:52 am et The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins remain a possible landing spot for free agent C Shaun O'Hara.
O'Hara visited Miami a week ago, and is said to still be "mulling his options." The Dolphins are the only team O'Hara is known to have visited since being released by the Giants on July 26. If he's waiting on a better offer, there's a good chance he's doing so in vain. Aug. 7 - 9:52 am et

I think we're waiting to see how Carey handles guard and if Jerry can be a factor. Either of these don't work out and we'll up the offer to this guy.

Tony was embarrested that the O line was a mess last year and will get 5 good guys and stick with them .. if possible.

I'd sign him regardless and move Pouncey to LG for this year and let him learn behind O'Hara then put him at center for the long term. Long/Pouncey/O'Hara/Carey/Garner ( Jerry/Columbo etc etc) is a pretty damn good line.

I'd love to know what he's asking for? There seems to be way too many question marks regarding almost every one on our line to not sign a sold vet like O'Hara. It seems like Incognito is the only guy that we know exactly what we're getting. I'd say Long as well, but there's still some lingering injury concerns.

hmmm he a little old but if you trying to win now i say do it
the line is still a mess

Does anyone else see the 'Fins moving him to guard? Perhaps a line like Long-Carey-Pouncey-O'Hara-Columbo?

i saw this eyebrow raiser yesterday and thought that he would be the backup center unless pouncey started having probs with bigger NT's in the league as a rookie. But we still have Berger who is very reliable at center. It seems we have been looking for Incog's replacement IMO. So it could go exactly as you say or Ohara plays LG and teaches Pouncey as they play together. I would like that alot.

i wouldnt. Pouncey has tghe ability today to play center. he has the smarts. will he screw up? sure, but he is the type of player who makes it up with good play moreso than bad. Let the rookie learn the ropes with the experienced vet right by his side.

Ohara would not replace anyone. He is strictly backup material and they probably offered him one year at league minimum. 31 other NFL teams have not offered him anything. Regardless of what some think, many teams are far worse off at the center position and center backup then we are.

O'Hara and his agent are doing the right thing. Camps have just started, they are banking on teams needing his services due to injuries. Reasoning is he could demand a little more then and pick IF he wanted to go there. His wife may not want to move down here just for a one year contract either. I do not see them offering him anything more then that. If they DO sign him, you can say goodbye to Berger. Berger can play center only, he is horrible at guard. O'Hara could at least be a G/C backup.
