Shaw or Vickerson?

I like them both. Vickerson can bring it but he has to be more consistant which we all knew was the knock on him on draft day. Shaw brings more of a run stuffing element but Vickerson also showcases an ability to get upfield a bit. To have a DT with a burst who can do that is a great quality.

No way he clears. I do know that Saban really likes Zgonina. How many we keep?

Wow..not easy. Chester and Traylor are locks. Wright is a future project. Shaw is in. Vickerson or Zgonina? Tough because I dont see Wright dressing for a game anytime soon and I think they keep him to develop him. Do they try and trade Zgonina again?

Great! Work is getting better, I got my right hand man back after he left for another job for two months, and made my life hell. The good thing, I appreciate all the work he does now, that much more!

Chester..........obviously stays on
Wright..........so far he might be the least impressive. But will Saban risk putting him on waivers since he's talked about not wasting draft picks and Manuel cost us a future 5th?
Shaw................I personally think has looked a little better than Vickerson...maybe
Vickerson........hasn't shown me a whole lot yet.....I think he gets cut
Zgonia...........gotta keep him I think cause we are thin at DT and he is definitely a servicable player in this league

THere you have it guys, I think Vickerson is gone even if he outplays Wright. BTW, I'm assuming that we keep 5, isn't that about right?
 
Seems like in both games, I constantly saw shaw making plays or in the backfield causing major disruption. I would keep him over Vickerson right now, but worry that Vickerson could be signed from our practice squad if he cleared waivers. I would keep him on the roster and continue to develop him.
 
Zgonia is a virtual lock. he has experience in the system and was initially listed as a starter on the depth chart about a week+ ago
 
I dont think they will cut Vickerson.He is a project with a lot of upside.Its more likely he will be put on the practice squad.
 
No way you can keep Chester. Not if the young guys have any talent at all and you're serious about disruptive defensive football. Shaw, Vickerson and even Wright can get upfield 10 yards before Chester's belly leaves it's standard resting place of 3 inches above the turf.

I'm anti-Derrius Thompson and anti-Larry Chester. I'll beat that to a pulp here until it's obvious how correct I have been. They are fraudulent wastes of time and roster space and should have no place on this team if Saban is legitimately an astute judge of talent.

I'm starting to think that Chester isn't a lock. I don't know what his situation is, but Saban might want a guy with more playmaking/pass rush ability. Traylor and Zgonina have played well, and we have lots of talent on the line.
