I would never wish injury on any player, but Shawn Andrews is out for the year due to a broken leg. Since he was a guy we targeted in the draft, we should be thankful that we at least still have Vernon Carey, who might improve and contribute this year.

Nothing indicates he would have broken his leg if we drafted him. But with our luck this year......

Has anybody seen the injury? I'd like some advance notice to brace for a Thiesman/Munoz/Edwards/Kendall sort of tape getting played over and over this week if it looks really bad.

I didnt see his leg actually break (like Theismann), but you see the moment where his leg buckles and he loses his balance quite noticeably. Afterward he was on the ground for several minutes, writhing in pain.
Tough break for the guy. I was rooting for him. Hope he comes back healthy.

Yeah I was watching that game and I thought it was a crying shame that he broke he leg like that. (no pun intended) I really like Shawn Andrews...
Hopefully he'll come back next year in great shape and contribute to his team.
