I find it rediculous that people here are trying to predict our draft picks for April already.

Heres my reasons for rediculousness of this topic:

1. We dont have a coach
2. We have a lot of free agents
3. Free Agency hasnt started yet
4. Until we get a coach, which we are clueless on right now, we have no idea which direction he plans on taking this franchise.

But without all the knowledge and information that only the next 3 months can provide for us I can see how easy it must be to project things that are based solely whimsicle fantasy or pure speculation.

Let me give this a shot.

Um...

We're old on the d-line.

The Miami Dolphins select young-pup-fat-**** dlineman from the university of who-gives-a-rats-rectum with the 9th pick in the NFL draft.

ok, I'm comfortable with that projection. Lets try another one.

uh, ok, i got one.

Miami has aging talent that is still at a prime level and it is obvious that we dont want these kinds of players. Lets trade JT and ZT for Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison because the Colts need help on defense. But we will also require the Colts give us their first rounder because JT was DPOY.

The Miami Dolphins select stud-OLB that got snubbed by 27 other teams from the university of solid-tackler-makers with the 28th pick in the NFL draft. (yes this means that Indy loses in the AFC Champ game again)

So, how am I doing? Give me your random thoughts. Im curious to see what pure speculation and wild fantasy can produce.

In case any of you were wondering. I dont remember anyone saying anything about drafting Jason Allen, trading for Culpepper, or getting Derek Hagan at this time last year.

it's ridiculous, not 'rediculous' and, yes, there were people talking about Jason Allen last year (Boomer was one) and trading for Culpepper (CK was another). For many people, speculating about the draft is fun, and really the only thing to do. It's probably not very productive to make fun of them

Well, welcome to a MESSAGE BOARD. IF you don't like speculation, fanstasy drafts, wishful thinking, etc.....then you are in the wrong place.

People speculate because it gives them something to do in the long, boring time between the Dolphins final game and the draft. Lighten up and have some fun.

I'd recommend some valium and deep breathing. The whole point of a board like this one is we like to speculate. You are right of course, we don't have all the facts, and we LIKE changing our speculation as the facts pan out. Chill dude, enjoy the board, this is not life or death stuff.

Actually the bigger impact of the draft will be the NFL combine results. Players shoot up and down based on those few days...

Spell-check time! What's ridiculous is this thread

Two things:

1. Someone obviously needs a hug and a hobby
2. You're fantasy projections are lame. If you can't see that defensive line is our deepest and best unit regardless of age and that we have bigger and more immediate holes on offense then I can only say that I am quite happy not to know you.

Please hold that thought until draft day, then come back to me and tell me that my mock of a mock draft wasnt realistic.

Quote of the day:
The voice of reason said:
Based on all the knowledge I think I will have 3 months from now, I project that Emmitt Smith will re-enter the NFL draft and start a new career as a Kicker.
