Gary Sheffield, left, pictured when he was a member of the New York Yankees in 2006, stands next to manager Joe Torre. Sheffield has told an interviewer from HBO that Torre treats black players differently than whites.

New York Yankees manager Joe Torre treats black players on his team worse than white players, controversial baseball player Gary Sheffield has charged.

Oh here we go again. :rolleyes2

This guy has a problem with his lips.

1. He can't keep it shut.
2. He loves to smear **** on them.

The guy is still bitter about not being on the Yankees team, though better off as his team is in better position for the Postseason. Just stfu Sheffield, what are you trying to prove here?

being held down by the white man once again!!!!

unreal!

I seriously can't stand this guy! He thinks everyone's against him, when in reality if he didn't have that horrible attitude and big mouth people might respect him.

This guy is a waste of space. And for the love of God this playing of the race card every time he doesn't like something or someone is getting old.

as a player I like Gary Sheffield. he plays hard, hes productive. He's an attention guy though...he needs attention constantly it seems and says anything to get it. He's like a freakin diva. Really Gary, there's only so many times you can blame other people. People get tired of you probably cause theyre sick of you being you; you would think a guy with his stats would wonder why hes been with so many teams and look in the mirror and say, hey maybe i really am the jack*** people are saying i am.

Personally, I think this is hilarious. I mean, really, is it even worth expending the requisite moral outrage at this point in time? Does anyone honestly take anything Sheff says seriously anymore?

Kenny Lofton backed up what Sheff said about Torre treating blacks differently than whites.

Expected to start but had to compete for a starting position, batted .174 in spring training, got traded cause he was mostly unproductive, yah no bias at all  and correct me if im wrong but i recall Sheff saying he wanted to remain a Yankee at the end of his last season with them? all sounds like sour grapes to me.
