Just heard him say that miamis chances of manning are dwindling down and may be the 3rd person to choose against mia. He also said when all the reporters chased after manning in mia it rattled manning a little. Just reporting what i heard

I think Manning is well used to reporters, but I have had a feeling for a while that somehow this would not happen.

if reporters chasing Manning rattle him he may want to retire b/c no matter where he goes it's going to be a HUGE story. We are going to see a million stories all over the place over the next week or so, I don't think any of the "experts" have any idea where he lands right now.

I was just watching SC and i did'nt hear him say that. SO i call BS

I would not be surprised if he goes elsewhere. Unlike Fisher and Harbaugh, Miami was the favorite to get Manning. If they fail, there will be no denying how bad this organization has become.

I agree, no one knows ****

Reporters "scaring" Manning and having an effect on his evaluation of possibly coming to Miami? Rightttt

Schefter did say that but it was speculation. Wiley than came on after and said that it would have no effect on his decision because as soon as he decides all these press heads pushing him for an answer would disappear

I agree. I think you have Ross on one side and Ireland and Philbin on the other. Ross wants immediate impact in ticket sales. Ireland and Philbin are long term guys.

I think that is an issue for many teams, pratcically for on field reasons GMs are scared he may not be healthyand could cost them their jobs but they have owners who want Peyton for reasons other than on field reasons.

What is Schefter suppose to say? "I really have no idea what's going on so I'm making up some bs about Manning being scared off by the reporters. I know it sounds so stupid but there is nothing else going on."

Your thinking on the matter is completely flawed. I can prove this by stating two things that we know to be true and those two things make it impossible for Philbin to be against bringing in Manning. A lot of people are bringing up what you are suggesting. I think I may need to start a Get Real thread over the idea.

I also have to believe that the possibility of getting manning was discussed a while ago with philbin and probably during the interview process itself.
