On way to Miami for a visit --- as per Andrew Abramson on Twitter-- What do you guys think?

He is young and a good zbs fit. I bet we get it done.

He should be one of several G's signed...bring them in and let them compete...

There is a very good chance he is a Dolphin by end of day.

From what I have read....young, doesn't have a ton of starts under his belt, but can be really effective in the run blocking. Can pull well. Would be a good scheme fit in the zone blocking system.

Surely better than anything we have currently at the guard position.

Sign him.... then get strief and a cb and its draft time

ZBS fit. That has to be a must for a player to sign IMO.

My guess is that a deal with him will happen. We need help at the guard position and he played for Benton in Houston.

I wonder if they would pencil him in as a starter or say compete with Dallas Thomas for a starting job.

Dallas Thomas should be put out to pasture....that guy is awful.

Wouldn't Brennen and Garner be more then like the competition?

Smith and Garner will be our starting guards, Brenner and Thomas will be depth, as well as the draft; we will probably sign another tackle.

I think that we draft someone to play guard in 2nd or 3rd round if we sign Smith. But if we sign Smith, we still need to address RT in FA, possibly Oher, Collins or Strief.
