2 last year, 6 the year before that. he is young yes, buy why so much love? does he fit our scheme or something? im guessing theyre banking on Zach martin at right tackle. who else, I know not micheal ola for damn sure. our guards are weak, I say we draft a guard in the third or forth, rb in the second. im more excited about our defense, cortelan Finnegan is a great signing, I don't care how he performed last year. hes going to spark the whole defense, along with delmas, who im assuming is going to control the defense considering clemons did last year, who is also a player that brings grit. wheeler will improve, have faith. and we know Ellerbe will continue to develop. koa misi is a terrible signing, hes a true number two lb, and only plays situation. I wanna see Jordan reak havoc like I thought he would last year. delmas and Finnegan will make our defense great, but Finnegan has reasonable doubt that he wouldn't cause problems in the lockerroom. hopefully not, unlikely, as grimes will guide him, and the team will eventually love the intensity he brings. plus hes a number two corner here, and was a number one in st Louis. talor or davis will never pass this previous perennial cb on the depth chart, whoever was saying that.

He is an OL need...that's it. I don't get it either. This guy is an unknown and has been just a backup his whole career. I wouldn't really pencil this guy in as a starter...

he is young and will develop, and i meant to put right, wasn't paying attention to that Travis

How exactly do they need OL help as bad as us...? They've got their bookend tackles and Logan Mankins. Plus they run a different scheme. It's a solid contract considering the upside and scheme fit and what he might bring for our run game. He was the best guard option out there.

His whole career? You make it sound like he has been around forever. He is 26 years old. He was drafted by Houston, whose OL coach is now our OL coach. I am sure he was part of the decision to bring him in and sign him.

According to Twitter, Smith had offers from 3 teams. I am assuming the Pats were one of them since he didn't visit many teams. He chose to sign here.

Run behind Smith and score a touchdown.

Shelly signed a 5mil deal... lets be real, if he does't start it ain't the end of the world... besides, if you look at his stats its clear he is ascending.

I really like this signing. He's young and has a lot of potential. He's played both Guard spots, graded out very good in run blocking, he's athletic enough to play in the ZBS and get to the second level, he's already been coached by our O-line coach.

He wanted $3 million a year and we got him for less. Gotta say Hickey is doing a really good job. From all accounts by the free agents we've signed it seems Hickey comes across as a very genuine person. I like that he's getting intense and passionate players. Hope that shows up on the field.

ditto and I trust the new oline coach and his assistant from pitt in talent eval and implementation, more so than previous guys. However, I know that is not saying much..........

This signing doesn't blow me away, but good offensive lines aren't usually made by signing five big names. What matters is if he can execute the system and perform his assignments. If he can, then a young lineman with upside will be a good fit.

Some of the most solid interior lineman we've had have come from nowhere.
