Personally, I think it's an awesome "**** you" to that POS "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" Commissioner and his minions.

this is so stupid. They make millions. 1 thing you have to do is talk to the media for 2 minutes... Big deal. If I drove a Pepsi truck and they saw me drinking Coke on my delivery I would get reprimanded also. Go back to school and listen next time.

P.s. Sherman's a punk

I think the NFL media policies are pretty dumb, but...

I don't understand how Sherman gets upset that the NFL is protecting its sponsorships with companies like BOSE. Does Sherman not realize that because the revenue is shared between the owners and players, that about 50% of the money BOSE pays the NFL to get players and coaches to only wear their headsets goes directly into the pool of money allotted for the salary cap/floor?

Didn't this guy go to Stanford?

I'm sure they know better, especially someone like Sherman. I think it was simply a sarcastic retort to the $100,000 fine levied to teammate Lynch.

The standards by which Richard Sherman can be admitted to Stanford are much different than the standards for other people.

Sherman gets upset because he does not understand. It is really that simple. He is not intelligent, but is presented that way by people in the media. We are always reminded of how smart Richard Sherman is by people holding microphones in front of TV cameras, but if one actually listens to Richard Sherman speak and listens to his logical reasoning, one can tell that he is not intelligent.

He also is not very funny. He tries, but fails.

As Golic pointed out this morning, if not for corporate sponsorships filtered through the league, Sherman would not have the Campbells Soup advertising. IMO, nothing wrong with criticizing heavy handed and sometimes arbitrary league rules, but citing sponsorship to call out mandatory interviews is an ad hominem.. one has nothing to do with the other. He needs to understand that the multi millions advertisers pay for this privilege must be honored because it's reflected in commercial opportunities and their owners' abilities to pay them ungodly amounts of money for essentially working part time. If Lynch wants to put an end to interviews, just be boring, terse and make sure you give the reporters nothing that's quote-worthy.. and you'll have your peace and quiet soon enough.

Or maybe it just bothers you that yes, an intelligent black man got into Stanford.

Richard Sherman not only completed his degree in Communications in 4 years, he returned to Stanford and obtained his Masters. I listened to an interview he did on his upbringing and how strict his parents were with him and his brother, schooling and his plans after the NFL and came away very impressed how well spoken and intelligent he is.

Sherman is controversial and loves to be in the national spotlight. He knows exactly what he was doing and this is his way of speaking out on what he feels is a bad policy. Can't say I blame the players for avoiding or disliking the media. We bitch about the media in here and only are subjected to what they write.

Quite honestly, he reminds me of a poster in here that also loves to be the center of attention.

I can give you at least 2 probably 3....

Oh, and lastly:

While I still think the NFL media policies are stupid, consider this:

NBC, ESPN, CBS, and FOX pay vast sums of money for the right to broadcast NFL games. Incredible sums of money. And as part of that contract, those networks get media access with the players. Interviews with coaches going into halftime (do you really think the coaches want to do this?), on-field interviews with players after the game, etc.

In short, putting up with dumb questions from dumb reporters is part of what they are being paid for.

Being fined for not talking to the media is complete & total horse shizzle. How dare the media have to work to make up lies, innaccuracy, drama, & outright nonsense

Personally, I think it's an awesome "**** you" to that POS "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" Commissioner and his minions.

Agreed. You know who only does what Art Rooney tells him to do.

Your buddy Bob in DC has or is working on his Masters from Baylor what about him?

I'll agree that RS is not Fitzpatrick or Alex Smith Smart but a reasonably sharp guy.

Seriously, look at it like wrestling, its a persona. I'll take Sherman over Manziel or DeSean Jackson anyday and twice on Sunday.

What are you saying; we are being gamed by a bunch of millionaires & billionaires?
