Sherman fired in GB

Not surprised. I wonder if Favre feels like he's being nudged out the door because of this.

Sherman has been unlucky IMO. Injuries have decimated their team this season and his win/loss record is good having got the Packers to the playoffs numerous times.

Heres the injured reserve list for the packers this season.
B.J. Sander P Knee 12/22
Jason Horton CB Shoulder 11/23
Ahman Green RB Quadriceps 10/25
Jeremy Thornburg S Shoulder 11/30
Chaz Williams RB Ankle 08/09
Najeh Davenport RB Ankle 11/20
Brady Pop***** LB Knee 12/14
Kurt Campbell LB Knee 08/30
Robert Thomas LB Quadriceps 12/28
Javon Walker WR Knee 09/21
Terrence Murphy WR Neck 10/06
Bubba Franks TE Neck/Back 12/22
Robert Ferguson WR Knee 12/30

Not many teams can cope with that decimation.

He never really did anything before this year and they need to start over. Its not so much that he stinks but that they need to rebuild from the ground up.

He is a great coach and I feel sorry for the luck him and his team has had! I think Favre is retiring now I don't see him on this team if there rebuilding but if there just going to try and buy a SB team I might see him stick around one more year.

Favre is gonna retire. He said Sherman is the only coach he would play for. I think the GB Front Office is nudging Favre out so they can start Rodgers

Out of all the firings (Tice, Capers, Haslett, Martz, and Vermeil retiring), I think this one is a little bit of a surprise to me in terms of... it seems like they're not giving Favre much of a chance to come back, and now it looks as if... he will most likely retire.

I think that the Packers are hinting to Favre that he needs to retire and let them move on to the future. I really can't see Favre wanting to rebuild with the Packs because of his age.
