Does the hiring of Sherman and maybe Tom Rossley equal us drafting Tannehill in the 2nd rd. Id be down with signing manning if healthy and let tannehill sit for a few years.

I really hope we dont draft Tannehill. The guy could barely play QB in college. Sherman only started the guy for 1 year. If he was only good enough to play 1 year in college what makes people think he will hack it in the NFL?

NO thanks.

A different type QB, but many people said the same about Cam Newton, he only played a year at Auburn. Same concerns.

I reported yesterday Tom Rossley would be a very likely candidate for the #Dolphins as QB coach, but he is the part many won't like. The feeling among scouts & draftniks is Tannehill might not make it past the Redskins. I know that is hard to believe at first considering he is injured, but that is the word.

Not true, he started a year and a half. The thing people forget is going into Tannehill's Jr season, Jerrod Johnson was actually a guy a lot of people viewed as a potential high pick before the wheels fell off.

And Tannehill was one of the Aggies top WRs his freshmen and sophomore year.

Brandt tipped him as top 10.........no way he lasts till 2nd. I agree, he looks like a Ponder/Locker pick.

What I do like is the fact that no matter which we go, Matt Flynn, Tannehill or whoever, I feel with Philbin & Sherman at least we have the guys with the knowledge to make the right choice.

Its not the same as Cam. Cam was a QB at all times in college. He didnt play in Florida b/c he was sitting behind Tebow his freshman year. Red shirted his sophmore year due to an ankle injury. Played QB his junior and senior years. They didnt try to move him to WR and back n forth. Different situation.

OK so that 1/2 year is what puts him over the top to be an NFL QB??

So what if he was one of the Aggies top WRs his freshmen and sophomore year? How does that qualify him as a NFL QB?

I realy hope we dont pick him.

Exactly! With this coaching stuff, whichever quarterback we end up with at the start of next season we should feel confident the coaching staff has made the right decison.

would be a waste of a pick we have bigger holes we could fill with that pick, i will be happy if we get manning, and moore stays as our back up.

just saw a mock draft that has us taking, tannenhill in the first round

Mayok has said Tannehill will be a top 15 pick and Brandt who may have the most insider connections of anyone that follows the draft says he will be a top 10 pick.
