Is Shirdonya Mitchell 100% healthy now? Has anyone seen him play? Does he have any major potential to push to start?

I thought this guy sounded like an interesting prospect with a lot of speed coming out of college and we got him cheap because he had a knee injury.

Anyone with any insite on him?

For a guy who was clocked at 4.29/40....I sure do hope so. I haven't heard anything from or about him since Miami had to make a decision to bring he and Poole from the PUP to Active list.

Until he was hurt I read he was a top prospect for a CB and KR. Plus Saban had to see something int he guy to sign him and place him on the PUP the IR list knowing he was hurt. Hopefully he will live up to Nick's expectations.

He's becoming the forgotten man with the J.Allen pick. If he's healthy, it just adds to the depth and permutations at DB.

Man, what a difference in personnel in the secondary this year (if they all can stay healthy).

Allen will play Safety and Shirdonya is a CB. None the less the addition of guys in our secondary is nice we need the depth where we can get it.

I think too many people let speed blind them and thus we make Mitchell a lot better prospect because he is fast as hell. He was not invited to combine and ran forties of 4.40-4.33-4.39 and 4.35. He has been clocked at 4.28 but not on pro day, this was an earlier year. He had 17 reps on bench press and ran a short shuttle 3.93. Got hurt running the conne drill. He was considered a very raw prospect that was very hard to judge his draft position. Would have been a day 2 draftee possibly. I would be happy if he could make the team much less become a starter which I think is doubtful. Mitchell was far from a big time prospect, another of the sleeper types.
