According to KFFL something along the line $17.5 mil over three years. Tampering, schampering.......

ton of money man - if Mawae is cheap, would do that and draft a C for the future

the 17.5 mil is guaranteed $$$ for the first 3 yrs, with half in the form of bonus. At this point, I'm not certain how long the whole deal is. The article i saw was not very conclusive but i would say the whole deal is only 3 yrs. i don't know if they can split up the bonus $$$ like that.

And there is no tampering in this league? This deal was done a week ago. What a joke.

I guess that's why he signed so soon. I doubt any other team would have offered that kind of money. Deal was probably in place right before he made those disparaging remarks against the Saints.

That's ridiculous. I wouldn't pay any center that much money, especially if I already had a very solid offensive line. This is a bad move on Andy Reid's part if it's true.

The Eagles oline crapped out last year. Especially their interior line. This is a big pickup for them.

I really wanted this guy. I think there is a reason he's ESPN's #1 FA. But....that is a boatload of money to pay a Center. Nick is exactly Bellicheck-esque in the fact he is going to pay guys what they should be paid, isn't going to break the bank for one fella, because he knows that it's about more than 1-2 year windows. While I want Maewae now, if he's asking more than his worth, I have no problem with keeping Seth at the right price and letting him to continue to develop with Houck. Also, Wade Smith and Rex Hadnot are always possibilities at that position.

He's good, he's young, he can make an impact in a weak position.

No one said he was cheap.

He didn't change a thing in NO so why waste money on someone whose position is pivotal yet not "game-changing" and that's what type of money he got.

Well, I'll admit I didn't know that. But that's still way too much money to pay a center, he better turn that line to a brick wall to justify that salary.

my prediction - training camp ACL. Sorry, not hexing him, just clairvoyent and predicting the future. Someone put this in their sig. I know, I know, its a gift, but sometimes a burden.
