Doesn't mean he gets what he is demanding from any team. Sometimes a kick in the nuts brings an ego back to reality.
 
I am afraid the staff passed on him. He would have been a nice addition.

Carolina owner, Jerry Richardson, is one of the cheapest owners in the NFL. I'd be surprised if he pulled out big bucks for Shockey.
 
I for one would like the fins to sign Shockey ... but before some of you guys start bashing the FO for not signing him and him visiting the Panthers ---> we have NO IDEAR what he's asking for - plan and simple ... i don't want Miami to give him crazy money ....lets see what happens

What is with all the love for Shockey on this site? He is washed up. Granted he may make a decent number 2 tight end at this point but wouldn't you like to add a number 1 and move Fasano to that number 2 spot. I was hoping he would not be signed here so we could look to actually upgrade tight end and not just sign a guy that may play half a season.
 
The muddled masses on this site will have these reactions if Shockey signs

1-If we sign him great signing by this FO
2-If he signs with Carolina he is washed up
