We have to. It doesnt seem like we're gonna sign an FA lineman (though Jason Brown would help big time).

So far, we have our tackles set (Long, Carey). Smiley is pretty set at LG, and we do have lots of depth for C and RG (Satele, Nduwke, Frye, Johnson, Alleman, etc).

We saw against the Ravens, we couldnt protect Pennington. (Though for backups, they did alrite). Im pretty sure Henne is our franchise QB, but we need to protect the guy. Picking at #25, then again at #44, we have several top talent options (Alex Mack, Max Unger, Eric Wood, Duke Robinson). Pick up Unger (best Center) at #25, and Duke Robinson (a mammoth) at #44. There are also names like Kraig Urbik, Jon Luigs, Andy Levitre...all of whom COULD start this year. I wouldnt be opposed to selecting Kraig Urbik at #56.

Our OL would be shored up for 12 years. Urbik can start, and that can make Justin Smiley trade material.

I know this isnt Madden...but i was sooo disgusted by our OL performance in the playoffs. Im happy with the defensive guys we got last year. We could still draft DL in the 3rd and later. But i think we should highly consider OL. Shawn Murphy hasnt seemed to impress anyone yet.

Your thoughts?

Watch and see BP & Sons put a thunderous stamp on the organization..., it's beef time... AFC East be on guard... Light in the shorts DEs won't match up with beef... Light Lbs will be trampled... It's throwback time baby...!

Kris Jenkins of the Jets said after the 1st game of the season regarding Donald Thomas "You'll be seeing Thomas in many of pro bowls in the future"

lol couldnt have put it better myself:woot:

oh man, i forgot about donald thomas..

well it still wouldnt hurt to draft a Max Unger or Alex Mack to give us that solid Center we need. Perhaps Satele improves, we move Unger or Mack to LG, and Smiley becomes trade material?

We definitely need depth. Chances of Smiley lasting a whole season without getting hurt are not good. Hopefully the Thomas injury was just a freak occurrence. We also need a backup tackle cuz if Carey or Long went down we would be totally ****ed!

Mack is a center, thats it, a good one, but no versitility. i dont think we need to do anything to the line but add a center. Brown i hope. center could move satele to guard depth. that is a solid line, adn we cna fill more needs

Smiley is pretty set at LG,

I'm not so sure about that. Two consecutive seasons on IR, a nasty injury to his leg and ankle, three surgeries on his right shoulder. Keep in mind, that the injury he suffered in 2007 with SF was a torn labrum. An injury that Samson Satele suffered, yet he manned up and played through it. Bottom line, Smiley is NOT DEPENDABLE. If the Dolphins choose to add another OG via the Draft I'm all for it. A switch OG for Samson, along with another rookie in the mix will give the Dolphins much better depth than what they had this past season. That way the Trifecta won't have to cross their fingers and hope that Smiley makes it through each game unscathed. There will be big time competition at the OG's spot in 2009, bank on that!
