It made for an interesting few days. But it also makes you wonder if the two biggest talkers for new kids on the block realize they’re 18 months removed from a 1-15 season, facing the NFL’s toughest schedule in 2009 with a team featuring some question marks.

Crowder and Porter should be proud of the Dolphins 11-5 finish and AFC East title a season ago.

But like Tony Sparano keeps saying, that was last season … and it was a season when the Patriots didn’t have quarterback Tom Brady and still hung 48 points on the Dolphins in late November.

In other words, there’s a very good chance the road to this year’s AFC East title won’t go through Miami, as Porter proclaimed last week, but through New England, winners of the previous five division titles - a period during which the Dolphins didn’t make the playoffs.

I have to say No...let them talk. If they can't back it up on the field that is their problem. I'm just glad someone is speaking up about the disrespect. Im also glad it's not Sparano.

I don't know..... we didn't talk #$%# last offseason and we won the division. I think I like that approach a lot better.

For the first time in this guys career the team has finally achieved something. I would be a little upset about some rookie HC talking **** about it too.

Let them talk...it's great to see our boys with some swagger! If they don't back it up like previously metioned then it's a different story. But I can't be the only one who is jacked about how it seems like this team is no longer the quiet team in the corner just begging to be pushed around by the "school" bully!

Porter...Crowder...GIVE EM' HELL BOYS!

I think Crowder and Ryan were genuinely having fun with each other. I doubt there's any real hard feelings. Jeff Ireland is like the parent coming out of the kitchen to tell the kids to settle down. And he's right, this little tiff has run it's course. It's been fun and entertaining but it's time to get back to football.

Rex Ryan needs to shut the hell up. He comes off like an arrogant prick in all this.

I think Ryan should never have fired back... It seems unprofessional

I think Crowder sometimes talks too much.

I think Crowder has replied in a manner that comes off as someone simply defending himself in this.

I think Ryan has replied in a manner that comes off as someone who is attacking a player.

I think this is stupid especially being that Ryan is a HC and Crowder is a ILB that was lucky he got his payday this off season.

I enjoy the banter!

It's fun, I'm really enjoying this insurgence of sheer confidence displayed by Crowder. He's been right in everything he's said. He want's respect and he's hungry to get it. Goooooood.

Crowder should have never said anything in the first place. Who the hell cares where Rex Ryan thinks the division is going through. His opinion doesn't mean a damn thing. Why get involved in a verbal battle with a rival coach. Just keep your mouth shut and prove it on the field.

The whole thing came off childish and not a bit funny. They both need to grow up.

Rex is playing with fire. NY media loves him now, but when he starts losing, they will turn quickly. How many does he expect to win this year with a rookie QB? 5 games?
Not sure how this douche will respond, when the questions get more jaded.
