I don't think it would be a bad idea to give Joey Harrington the start against Houston. Culpepper has been alright ( nothing spectacular) but alright.

The Dolphins need a spark on offence and maybe Harrington can give the team a lift. Culpepper could use a game off, maybe sitting on the bench for a game might help him.

i think u should start cuz ur amazing...betta than harrington+culpeppy+mcnabb+manning-arron brooky= ur skill level

NO.

If Pepp can't beat Houston especially if he plays as bad as last week then I think they will seriously start to look at benching him though...

uuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh what is going on with this website. why was the thread started

In the larger picture.....Cpep isn't going to become any more "mobile" in 2 weeks, he isn't going to be able to throw better passes as he's not putting pressure and using his whole body on his injured leg nearly as much as he used to when throwing. In short...Cpep isn't going to get much better anytime soon. Meanwhile our "cake" portion of the schedule has proven to be pretty tough for us and it's about to start getting harder. Joey needs to get in and get his timing etc. down against a team like Texas whose pitiful in defense (allowed 22 completed passes in a row last week and are averaging 100yards MORE allowed then anyone else) so that when our schedule starts to heat up and Cpep would REALLY look bad....at least Joey can be the QB and have a couple of games under his belt with the line and receivers. Cpep's going nowhere (progress-wise) anytime soon. Just mho.

Can he play O-Line?

No, it would not be a bad Idea, it would be a horrible idea. It would hurt this team in so many aspects, that the season would be over if Joey failed to be spectacular...and trust me, he would have to be spectacular for the change this early to work.

Whether Harrington should start I do not know, but I suspect if Culpepper does not show significant improvement against Houston, Harrington will start the following week and the reason will be that "Culpepper's knee is bothering him."

YES!!! and against NE and against NYJ and against GB and against...

hmm.........just how "spectacular" does Cpep look playing crappy teams like Buffalo and Tennessee? You've got to be kidding? What do you think he's going to look like play the last 2/3 of the season against teams that aren't ranked 30-32 in all the wrong categories? It can't get much worse then the 1-2 record and god-awful horrible showing we've had. I'm not a "the-end-of-the-world-is-coming" kind of guy...but it's pretty obvious Cpep isn't ready to play full-time and I'm not sure how people think Joey can't manage to play at the horrible level Cpep has thus far.

Should we start a thread count on how many 'bench Cpep start Harrington' threads there have been in the past two weeks?

OH,for the love of god.....Please,please someone tell me its april 1st

Even though Culpepper is not as mobile as before, he is still more mobile then Harrington. Culpepper hasn't been great, but right now benching him would be bad. He has to regain his confidense and form sooner or later. He is our future QB and our current QB. Harrington would look worst behind this line at 100% then Culpepper at whatever he is at. The best thing for us to do is be patient because once Culpepper get his game back to where it was we will be a force.

Yes, bench Culpepper after a win and start Harrington.

After all, Harrington has a 55% completion percentage, a 60-62 TD:INT number and a career passing rating of 68. What is there not to love about those stats?
