LT had 23 runs in the game, should he have gotten the ball more, or do you think he got enough?

I think the chargers offensive coordintor was trying to out smart the pats. He knew we would be keying on LT so he went to the air. He had fairly good success with the pass. 23 touches for LT isn't exactly nothing either. I really do believe that SD figured it would be easyier going thru the air.

That might have been the gameplan going in, but LT was getting 10 yard runs like every third time he got the ball. I don't know why you don't adjust and start feeding the stud in that situation, and get him 30+.

Definitely. Fact is, he had a week rest and he was running all over them in the first half. The playcalling by "our savior", Cam Cameran, was very inconsistent. IMO, Mike Mullarkey could have done the same.

He took the ball away from LT, and was trying to get too fancy with his plays, trying to put the game on an inexperience Rivers' hands [which was basically playing into New England's gameplan], the running game was there ALL GAME long, and they dominated the Time of Possession.

The coaching staff shot themselves in the foot, and that's why they lost.

I dunno but I was calling for a screen to LT in the last min SD had the ball. You know the Pats are going to play deep. Give it to LT on a delayed screen and let him work his magic in the open field.

it's not like when ronnie brown only gets 10 or something. 23 is a healthy amount...
A little off topic here, but actually, Ronnie Brown was underutilized all season long because of our former head coach Saban.

In his last PC, he told the media that he likes to keep Ronnie Brown in the 15-18-20 MAX carries per game. So that means, 4.3 x 15 = 64.5 yards the MINIMUM rushing yards per game, to 4.3 x 20 = 86 rushing yards per game, to 4.3 x 18 = 77.4 rushing yards per game.

I know it doesn't always work out the way the stats say, but even if he really did "pounded the rock" (sarcasm) with the 20 carries MAX, Ronnie would still be limited from his 100 yard game, STATISTICALLY [we all saw a different Ronnie the last 2 games of the season, averaging somewhere in the 5-6 ypc].

Ronnie is the type of runningback that gets stronger with more carries.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda,,,,,the bottom line is the Pats beat the Chargers, and the Chargers 14-2 season just got flushed down the toilet.

Definitely, I just don't understand why they decided to keep passing with a shaky Rivers, and even shakier recievers, when LT(and Turner too) were dominating.

Martyball = Mularkey ball....play not to lose, stop doing what is working, etc.

I think if the Chargers had a go to WR they would have won, yeah they have Gates but Rivers needs more targets. But I agree LT needed another 10 carries and another rush TD, but what killed for the Chargers was that obvious interception Rivers through where he tried to loft it, you could see a pick coming it was a terrible decision for a young QB.

As a Pats fan I'm just happy they were able to get the TD, pull of the direct snap for a 2 Pt coversion then get the field goal for a win with only a minute plus left.

I really thought LT and MT were gonna pull the ol' Thunder and Lightning on the ground all day.

I guess. Few inches higher and that's a good play for the Chargers. Colvin just made a good play..

Of course. Maybe Cam Cameron was thinking ahead to next week....as RIDICOLOUS as that sounds. Only logical reason he wouldnt give it to LT more.
