That’s the hot question in South Florida, with calls for caution stemming from the uncertainty of the health of the offensive line. The Dolphins could be down to their third-string left tackle because of the health of Branden Albert and Jason Fox.

Andrew Abramson and I got into a spirited debate on this Tuesday. We kicked around the idea of each writing a point/counterpoint on whether to hold out Tannehill from the “dress rehearsal” exhibition. Then we realized that via text messages, we each had stated our case.

Me its easy, sit hisass down, i'll take what I get sep 13 and beyond from him.

Too many injuries to big stars.
forgot to add "pre-season is injury season"

Sure he should. Just game-plan around it...pretend like it's the regular season and both LTs have gone down. What will you do? See if you can run the ball a lot, lots of quick passing.

He won't have time for long-developing routes or deep passes, but that's fine. They can still get plenty of work in and keep him no more at risk than any other preseason game.

Yes, but they should basically run the ball on every down. They need to practice run blocking imo and this game is a good opp.

He is playing, based on both his and Philbin's comments today.

We all know Lazor doesn't get his jollies running the ball, so this might be good to force him to try sticking to the run for a little bit.

Of course. If he didn't play can you imagine the posters complaining how soft and afraid the coaching staff is?

I doubt Fox will be out, but if somehow he is just gameplan around it. Short routes, read option right, run plays. Still need to build chemistry with the whole O. Besides, what message does it send to your OL if you sit him? Tired of this question.

Nope.

Week One is going to be a huge day for Tannehill. He's ready. Let Moore and Freeman each play a half.

If he's not involved in the game, what's the point in having him out there? Half those runs will come out of the Zone Read and we all saw what happened to Bradford, is it worth the risk? I don't have any strong feelings one way or the other to be honest - but I know how I'd feel if he got hurt. It would be nice to give him and the starting offense a few more reps, but if he's out there - let him work. If having him out there means we'll run it every down then just throw Moore out there - lord knows he needs the work anyways.
