Ok hear me out. Miami is full of foreigners that don't like or understand football. The teams that are good in the NFL have fan bases that are extremely passionate about there team. The dolphins have a passionate fan base, but I don't think it is that strong in Miami and south Florida due to the influx of immigrants. The Dolphins have more fans spread across the country than in south Florida. Do you think the Dolphins would fair better in Orlando with a big *** new state of the art stadium? I think they would. The fans that are in south Florida would make the 2hr drive to the new stadium and more people from Ocala, Gainesville, Tampa, and Jacksonville would come to the games and be more outspoken about the team. Cowherd said it best when he said, on his show, that the successful teams in the NFL have fans that CARE!!!! we all care out this team and there are people that care about the team in Miami, but there is not enough people in Miami screaming for results because it is all about parting, jersey shore and tons of people can't speak English and don't go to the games.

No, I don't think that would be the solution. The Dolphins need to start winning more games and the fans will come back. If you move to Orlando, you lose the name, the history, thus killing the franchise off. The Dolphins need to seek a credible coach who has true leadership qualities, which is not easy to find. Today's coaches get burned out really fast because of all the negativity from the fans.

Orlando is only 4 hours by car and a 30 minute flight.

i understand and get what ur saying, but what about back in the 70s and early to mid 80s when the Dolphins were consistently fielding winning teams...fans down there were certainly passionate about them back then...i think all we have to do is get back to consistently fielding a winning team year in&year out and those same fans down there might re-discover their passion for the team...i'm from Florida myself, but i now currently reside in upstate NY due to having been in the Army, and i've met some phin fans up here who are extremely passionate about the team. like i said,i just think we need to get back to fielding a winning team and those problems will be worked out...just my take

you just need to win...................they will come.

you just need to win...................they will come.
exactly...if we were winning every game we played, and winning by comfortable margins, fans would have no problem sitting in their seats to root the phins on and show their passion, but with how we're doing this year, they can't bring themselves to sit there and watch that...we start winning consistently again and you'll see Dolphin Stadium fill back up...

Well, we have a winning record today, we're 5-5 and not losers.

The Problem we've had has been having the Bad Luck of other teams in our division dominating it.

Buffalo for years dominated and now the Patriots have been dominating it.

Think about it, we have a 25% chance of winning our division, which is pretty good odds.

I am telling you, the difference between winning and losing is having a QB who can carry our team when he has to. (Like Brady, Manning, Marino, Brees, etc..)

In 44 years, the Dolphins have won 14 AFC East Championships and have won 2 Super Bowls and have been to the "dance" 5 times...

That's a 32% success rate and remember, other teams are trying to win too....

if they moved to orlando i would buy 6 season tickets tomorrow. did anyone catch the miami heat video asking fans to stay and cheer. sounds familiar, like the finfans that always hightail it in the 3rd quarter.

very good post and excellent info, good to see some positive info on a bad week like this, the bottom line with our team is QB, that is why henne should have never been benched, they need to suck it up and let him settle in

As a person of hispanic decent living in So Fla this is a pretty offensive post. If you actually attended a game you'd realize there are a good amount of fans that attend from west palm beach and on the west coast of Florida, and being you're from Seattle you wouldn't realize the diversity in So Fla is what makes it so great. Just like everyone has stated if you put a winning product on the field everyone will come. It's already expensive enough to live in So Fla to then have to dish out money of season tickets for the same mediocre performance we've seen for years. Don't make simple minded assumptions from across the country.

If we move just move out to LA. Ross wants the feel at the stadium to be more like Hollywood anyawy.

I was not trying to be offensive man.

the dolphins are miami. they will never move, nor should they

Even when the team is winning fans don't show up. The Dolphins took a winning record into Thursday's game and there were still empty seats and about 40% of the fans were Bears fans. In 2008, after winning a division championship, the team had trouble selling out their playoff game. There is a major problem with the local fans. If I was Ross, I would really consider threatening the fans with a move. It is easy to say, win and we show up, but when they are winning, what is the fan's excuse then?

I am white and found this post offensive and that is hard to do. I know you didn't mean to, but wow. I think it has more to do with Americans from the north moving to Florida, and you get that everywhere in this state. Please don't talk about moving the Miami Dolphins, that is sacrilege.
