Should Wake be on this team?

Cam Wake is and has been one of my all time favorite Dolphins players. There is nothing not to love about the guy as a player, a role model, and a person. So, if I decide with my heart, I want him here or, maybe want to see him go to a playoff team just for his benefit.

On the other side, Cam is 34, coming off a serious injury, and costs a bunch of money. So, if I decide with my head, I want him moved to save almost $10M for the team's future. This would be a strictly business decision, which ain't easy.

If Maxwell a player that has done very little with his career belongs here making 8.5 million belongs here than yes a good player that has played at a high level definately belongs here

I'd like to change his contract to be more incentive based. I have no problem paying him that type of money, but not as just a specialist and not if he's going to just breakdown trying to go full time.

Cam is a great Miami Dolphin. Let's see how he returns from his injury. He takes great care of himself and we now have a coaching team who will probably save him for maximum effect. Rooting for Cam to come back strong.

I do get what everyone is saying but, do not agree. IF I believed we had any chance of contending this year, Wake MUST stay. That is not the case. We were a 6-10 team who lost more that it will gain this off season. I have to look to the future and would rather have $10M in cap space next year than Cam this year. JMO

Guess you missed the restructure not working out at all, and talks breaking off.
