I was just wondering if we should be worried about Carey or Crowder regressing this season due to their paydays being complete. Some players still play hard and I personally believe that they will as well but their is a little part of me that is worried that with Crowders mental lapses last season that he may be even more of a mental liability next season. Carey is also a worry seeing as he is the highest paid RT in the league. I am not worried about Bell i dont think he knows how to not play hard. What do you guys think? Will we get what we paid for?

I think even though Channing got a new contract it is still not what he wants as far as a long term big money deal. Hopefully he will take this three year contract and prove to Miami once and for all that he is worth the big bucks and long term commitment.

Well heres the thing. Their contracts may be guarenteed, but their starting positions are not. They are well aware that if they do not perform as expected, their job will go to the next guy in line. And then there goes about half of their money.

Now they need to prove they are worth the money. I don't think we will see any decline in them.

No, we shouldn't be worried. If that was the case, then you could ask this question about every single re-signing for every team.

Like thumper said, its far from what Crowder expects as afr as carrer contracts go so if anything, he'll step his game up...

This is a team on the rise. They are being paid as stars on a team that is on the rise. If that doesn't give anybody enough motivation to get up in the morning and compete like the fortunate professionals they are, then they won't last long because there are always others waiting to earn that fat paycheck and the pride that goes along with it.

I don't see either regressing. Carey is a hometown boy and Crowder is still a young player learning the 34 ILB position. People say Crowder didn't make enough big plays last year but I remember him stopping backs for no gain or losses on a lot of occasions. Carey (if he can lose about 10 LBs) can be an elite tackle in this league. He's got the strength to handle the best bull rushing DEs but needs to be a little quicker with his first step which I think he'll learn how to do.

Na, I don't think we have to worry. Carey is a good guy playing for his favorite team in his hometown. He will give it his all.

Crowder only got a three year deal and didn't break the bank like he wanted to. He understands that when his contract is up(after his 7th NFL season), he will likely have one last shot to get that mega contract. He is not going to blow that by not taking it serious over the next three seasons.

Both players were clearly distracted by this contract issue all season. It was a big deal to them. I think I have a pretty good grasp of both of these guys and I think they will both only progress now that they are financially secure.

Both have alot of pride.

These discussions are really silly. Crowder was not crying for a freaking 10 a year contract. He was asking to get payed above 1.1 million dollars a year for a quality mlb starter in a 3-4 that has been playing great.

O-line and LB are the deepest pools in this draft.i hope we draft some young studs to motivate them. both have been underachievers imo. combined probowls and playoff wins? zero.

You're the type of guy that worries if it's a girl or a boys question. If they're not productive then let them eat some pine, the reason why they signed them back is because of chemistry, cohesion, and wanted to keep everything in place for another good run at the division.
