Should we get top 5 pick in each round....

T

it will go down as one of the greatest drafts in Dolphin history

think Richmond Webb, Duhe and Baumhower all in one draft

I'm not saying we will draft any particular positions, but I think we would find 3 starters, 3 big contributors

If we end up with Calvin Johnson, I wouldn't even wait to see how he does..

I'd order that authentic the next day. I want that guy on this team so bad.

the win-win is we need the BPA and if the BPA is a QB we can trade down

WR isn't a huge need, but CJ could be our Jerry Rice

we could use any of these if they are top 5 worthy:

DT, DE, CB, LT, WR, LB

WR is our biggest need!!!! Trust me!

Is he a gamebreaker like Steve Smith? Who is he compared to?

You're right with the last 4 - CB,LT,WR,LB, DT and DE could come in the later rounds.

Rookie LT's who can start year 1 with any kind of success are only drafted in round 1 anymore. We drafted Vernon Carey late in the first round a couple years ago and he is only now panning out.

Actually, Vernon had a very good year last year too.

a mix between terrell owens and randy moss. 6'5, 235 and really fast. catches everything.

Dont forget his 45 inch vert :)

Hate to temper your enthusiam over C. Johnson...

who is admittedly a great player with great measurables, but his stats vs Clemson less than 2 weeks ago....

0 catches 0 yards 0 TDs.

all i have to say is if we get CJ in the first round...there is no question that we HAVE to address the oline in the second round

Did you watch the game? Because I did, and he was open a lot. Even broke away from double coverage. It's tough to catch a ball, when you only have 2 thrown your way the entire night, and both of which are considred uncatchable.

WR is a glaring need.

Booker is old.
Chambers cannot be trusted. He drops the ball too much and can't get open deep anymore.

I like CKs thoughts of us after the season is over: depending on where we are and who's picking ahead of us, we trade Chambers, pick up CJ in the draft and start Hagan where Booker used to be. We pick up servicable linemen/linebackers/secondary guys in the remainder of the draft, and cross our fingers that everything is fine with Culpepper. I like that scenario a lot better than the one that has us cutting Culpepper and picking up Quinn :sidelol:
