Funny how the tables turn. I'm sure most of you remember how billcheat would run up the score on us, so my question to you guys is should we have ran up the score against the pats? We could have easily scored a couple of more TD's towards the end.

I voted that we should have. Give them a taste of their own medicine.

The very fact that it bothered you enough when they did it to post about it so long after the fact is proof enough that we shouldn't do such things. Why stoop to that level. It's called class and honor. Be merciless in the pursuit of victory, but be honorable upon it's attainment. Act like it was no big deal to win and you could do it a again tomorrow no problem. That's intimidating.

38-13 is not running up the score.

I hope you jokers arent feeling sorry for those knuckleheads. its bad enough that we havent scored like that since Moses parted the Red Sea

That argument is out the window when it comes to a historical powerhouse like the Pats...especially in our division. If we let up and they came back what would you say then? I say get ahead as much as possible.....then when it seems more than clear that we will win, then put in our rookie QB etc. to get some reps. That is exactly what happened. Winning isn't attained until the final whistle blows.

great post!

Running up the score is poor sportsmanship. Gaining a comfortable lead is not. We had a comfortable lead, when there is time left of the clock you have to keep going strong until you are sure you have it in the bag. First you run up the score, then you run out the clock.

I think you are misunderstanding what I said as you are essentially agreeing with me. I dont think we did run up the score on Sunday. We put in the backup quarterback at the end as proof of that. Again, be merciless in the pursuit of victory, but be honorable upon it's attainment. There are many cases in which victory is attained long before the final whistle.

So why is it okay to run up the score in other sports such as soccer and Basketball? I mean, they do it because it has play-off implications. I don't know why it is poor sportsmanship primarily in the NFL...

Its still gets me hot under the collar thinking about last year when they pulled Brady out of the game, we proceeded to finally score on them and Their Jerk coach went ahead and put Brady back in the game to score another touchdown even though they were up by like 20 i think.
Pisses me off, He has done this too alot of teams. Karma is a m*therF*ck*r and Billicheat will pay throughout the league.

I guess they changed them this year to discourage running up the score.

Depends how they Interpret 5. Strength of victory.

say what you want, but i personally wanted an "ef you" TD, maybe that'll plant the idea in billy boy's head *hey i better not run up the score on them if i have the chance since they'll do it right back*

I think Ronnie Brown gave them 5 "ef you" touchdowns.

Oh and those weren't only for the Pats, they were for the haters on this site too.
