Should Bennie Anderson get cut tommorrow (which he should). Joe Berger I sense was to be tried out with the starters as a possible starter due to Anderson crapping the bed. Now he is out for a few weeks likely.

I think either moving Mac into G wouldnt be bad but I would think moving Carey into G where he played last year in preseason and let Mac handle Rt til we figure out some stuff until Toledo and Berger get back, makes more sense. but what do I know? comments?

He played LT and RT in the preseason last year. Maybe 2 years ago he did under Wanny and Wise. Is that who you think needs to determine his fate?

you know from what ive seen on tape this preseason carey has show real nice ability to block in space and is probably our best player in the 2nd level blocking LBs. so, since moo-moo loves to run counters so much, carey would probably make a pretty good pulling RG. HOWEVER, i think they see potential in this kid as a solid RT for years to come and might not want to fudge with that. there is no doubt, though, that we have to do something about RG.

Carey will NOT be moved to the tackle spot..Carey..in all of the preseason games, was one of the best o-linemans in the whole unit..Saban will keep him at right tackle...Bennie played horrible the first 2 preseason games but its highly doubtful he will be cut...he played good last game against the rams

Right guard has been the injury black hole this preseason. First McKinney goes down for the season, then we lose Toledo and now Berger for some unspecified period of time. Unless we want to start Pape or someone who has not lined up there at all, its Anderson at least until Toledo and/or Berger are able to step up.

I agree Anderson didn't look good in the first two pre-season games but I didn't think his third audition was that bad. I'm not sure what message Saban/Houck were sending when he sat against St. Louis? For now he is what we have.

bennie was horrible. we could've had mangold @ center or joseph @ guard. we got allen riding the pine and a huge question @ right guard. It's time to bring back Jamie Nails!!! He was the starting RG when Ricky got his 1899. Jamie, r u out there?

I think anything that gets Bennie Anderson cut would be an excellent move.

I don't think he will be cut, But he has been horrible. Our worst O-Lineman by far

I don't know why you say that unless you think he will get hurt again.

His history is he is always hurt> he could not even finish one preseason game without an injury. I just don't belive he will veer be healthy and playing interior line will not help.

Anderson is not getting cut because unfortunately we don't have any depth. Regardless of how horrid he's looked, and he has looked horrid, he's here.

Problem with your scenario is that Carey looks to be catching onto the Tackle position very well and has looked markedly improved. D-Mac IMO has looked just as bad at T as Anderson has looked at G. Either way if you move Carey to Guard your just switching the weak position on the line.

While I had originally thought the loss of McKinney was not going to be that big of a deal, it clearly is at this point a huge loss.

Hadnot has looked shaky at Center as well and it's understandable considering it's his first year there.

OL is clearly a concern for us.
