I just noticed in the papers that he has not been signed by anyone. I didn't realize that. Yet, he played pretty well last year, it seemed to me. I'm surprised he wasn't brought in at the vet - minimum in camp. Perhaps we should wait a week or two. Schulters wasn't the fastest DB, but he did seem to have good instincts for the ball and was a decent hitter.

Of course, there's always the problem of who do you cut? Perhaps it will be one of those guys about whom Saban says, "Some guys don't get it and don't know they don't get it!" That's funny!

I dont think they would call him back . I thought i read an article were he said he does not wanna play for the dolphins anymore.

Stop panicking.......our secondary will be fine.

oh yeah...it looked just great on Thursday night...when a back-up qb threw for 3 tds.

our secondary was a problem last season...they can't get off the field and aren't good on 3rd downs...even 3rd down and long.

and our secondary is a problem this season...so he has every right to be worried...they just don't look that good.

I hope they communicate better and gel and start playing better...but I'm worried about them...no doubt.

Go Fins!!!

You're right they didn't look great on thursday night but they didn't look terrible either. You have got a bunch of new guys back there trying to figure out a complex defense and trying to figure each other. You saw them stop the Steelers back in their own Enzone, and if not for that penalty of hands to the face, we might be 1-0 today. I maintain that the Secondary does have issues, but IMO the offense has big problems and no one seems to see that. Give the secondary some time and this unit will be one of the best in the NFL.......guranteed.

I think it might be too late. Though the defense is similar, Capers is running a blitz scheme that wasn't implemented last year. At this point, with training camp behind us, bringing him back might not even guarantee he would start over those more comfortable in the system.

Well it would be nice but I don't think we even have the cap room to sign him.

There's no question our secondary is a mess right now. Guys like Lehan / Goodman / Tillman play as if they have no clue what they are doing, or who they're suppose to be covering. Then there's the penalties. It's embarrassing to watch {at this stage} in my opinion.....

The only thing we can do, is hope to see a difference once Daniels gets back there, and that somehow this group can find a way to start making all the pieces work together. I'm not sure about the rest of the fans here, but for my money, J. Allen has been a huge disappointment thus far. I have a bad feeling that he's going to be our new "invisible man" in the secondary from now on....

I wont call him a bust yet, because he deserves more of a chance, but as a {S} being drafted at 16 overall, you better have some talent. Enough talent to get noticed when you're on the field. Thus far, Allen has been bad, real bad....

My next favorite off-season addition was CB A. Goodman. Wow, what a find!! This guys was beaten left and right the other night, Not to put too fine a point on it, he stinks up the place like burnt toast. This is the guy you want wearing Sam Madison's old jersey?? What a joke....

The only decent addition I've seen in the secondary is CB W. Allen. He's making plays, and I like his energy on the field. He looks good in coverage, and should be starting opposite Daniels no question....

All in all, our secondary relies heavily on the pass rush, and when it's not there, they suffer consequences because they're not talented enough to play man coverage. It's like shooting ducks in a barrel with this group. I just hope that with more time they'll become more comfortable as a unit, and improve as a result....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

that is yet to be seen so far........our secondary has earned the nick name "Blown Coverage".

I'll disagree. There was mass confusion back there, lots of pointing though. I'm not concerned after one game...hell they could look sloppy the next 3 games and i wouldn't be concerned. Saban runs a tough defense. I don't think the unit will be "one of the best", but it will definitely improve IMO.

I think they will play alot better. It should be hard to evaluate though especially in these next 3 games. Hou, Tenn, and Buff really don't have anything besides average passing games. If we look bad in these games maybe we should hit the panic button IMO but it's doubtful. Our O may have to get into some shootouts for us to be successful but hopefully not.

BTW Lance was 3rd on the team in tackles with 74 and also led our team in picks while forcing 2 fumbles.

most deffinantly yes if we can i know he said he doesnt want to come back to the dolphins for this season but seeing as though no one else has gone for him hopefully he has changed his mind
