As a back up Tackle who can play both spots in a pinch? He played OK last year and I don't think anyone has signed him.

I would love to draft Jake Long and Brendan Albert.

That would give us a line of:

LT: Jake Long, Julius Wilson
LG: Brendan Albert, Ikechuku Ndukwe
C: Samson Satele, Drew Mormino
RG: Justin Smiley, Trey Darilek
RT: Vernon Carey, Leonard Shelton

I would be happy with this depth chart.

thats two drafted rookies starting? i think we're gonna have a rough year if thats the case... at least a rough couple weeks in the beginning

Dude I think we'd do anything but struggle with Jake Long and Branden Albert in there.

You have a very good chance to get J. Long...but not Albert, and why would the Dolphins want to bring back a waste like Shelton...after cutting his fat rearend?

Remember Webb and Simms? Both drafted in 1990...both played on the same O-line.

Would u be more excited if you replace that name with Jason Fabini
although he really is no better.

Is Leonard Shelton LJ Shelton?

If so, then heck no. I dont want to come anywhere near a guy who's name involves Shelton unless his last name is Benjamin.

...I would Love this line up. we could run all day long with that Line.

I dont think albert will make it to our 1st pick in the 2nd round. I would however give up that pick and a 3rd or 4th for him.
but anyways. If we could have that lineup, i would love it

Carey only gave up 3 sacks last year and he gets better every year it appears. If we did draft Albert and Jake we could leave Vernon at LT and seperate the rooks. I want Chris but can't really complain if we take Jake but moving Vernon again makes no sense to me and Jake would get paid as a #1 pick LT. That is just a little less than a #1 pick QB. Their are 5-6 T's I would be happy with drafting in the 2nd or 3rd round to play RT. I really don't think the best G in the draft will be there for our 2nd pick either.

Whos Leanard Shelton? Not LJ Shelton I hope

I wonder if he's getting his wires crossed and thinking of Leonard Davis (w/Cowboys) and LJ Shelton at the same time??
If he is thinking LJ, he did actually play alright at RG. I think he'd be okay as depth/swingman. Just not for that LT salary that we were paying him!! I doubt he could beat out Smiley, anyway.

Must be LJ Shelton he is talking about. I just googled Leonard Shelton and got nothing.

In any event, Shelton proved to be ABSOLUTELY a total and complete bust and waste of space everywhere he played at every position he played especially with us. Why in the hell would anyone want him back on this team, even as a backup he wouldnt be able to cut it. Rest assured each time he would come in for relief he'd be hit with a hold or false start. Hes so bad they would call him for a hold even before the ball would be snapped.

I think he has them confused.

There's LJ Shelton.

And there's Leonard Davis.

Both are big guys that played for the Arizona Cardinals at one point together. We just released LJ Shelton and I'm not sure where Leonard Davis is these days.

Y'know the funny thing is, every draft you always see a couple of players slide down unexpectedly. This draft has several talented pass rushers. Plus it's thick with OTs and CBs. Alot of teams share the philosophy that quality OGs can be had all through the mid rounds. So it could happen. It just depends on the dynamics of this draft. If he's sitting there for a team who needs O-line help, but Otah is also there - Otah will get picked. Maybe the next 2 teams have a greater need at CB and/or DE, etc, etc.
If it happens with high profile positions like QB (as in Brady Quinn) then you know it can happen with OG position.
