There are always going to be those people that claim to have faith(it's actually called denial), but for those realists out there, do we start focusing on next year's season already? Obviously, we can play our tails off this year and try to improve, but despite the 12 or so games we have ahead of us, we are not good enough to compete this year. I for one am looking forward to some positive aquisitons/roster cuts for next year.

I still want the Dolphins to compete. Regardless of wether they win 1 game or 11 games they need to keep playing. If anything to figure out who should be here next year and who shouldn't be here next year. We also need to find out if Dante can come back and be the QB that most people think he can. He's getting better but he still dosen't have his confience back. You can't always go to the check down receiver and that's something he's going to have to learn.

i agree completely i mean for one losses are too hard on me personaly and 2 we cant quit because we need to see what team we really have and if there is any chance for good things to come out of this season, im convinced now that we arnt playoff contenders but i hope im proven wrong:(

Exactly.. i just want to see a team that has that sense they believe in themselves..

Im almost getting tired of still having the same conversation about daunte
He sure doesnt look comfortable...But its a whole offense thing

It is way to early to focus on next season. We need to focus on getting things right this season. I'm not saying we will magically morph into a playoff team, but the focus must still be on the here and now because most of the players we have now will also be back next year. So keep working their butts off until they get it right. About the last 4 to 6 games of a lost season is when you want to start looking ahead.

New England showed life yesterday, but that was the worst game I've seen Cincinatti play in years. The better team clearly & obviously loss.

The AFC East sucks, IMO.. it's still wide open. Why throw away the season when we've got two division games up next? If we somehow manage to gather some momentum and win the next two, then we're right back into the hunt.

If we can keep it close and get Daunte hot again next week, then we've got a shot. Basically, just focus on controlling Laurence Maroney - that kid is the real deal. Against the Jets, we're gonna have to have an offensive explosion though!
