I think he would do a good job. He is fast running a 4.85. He is big. He can also rush the passer even though you don't need to do that as a 3-4 end. If he could get pressure from the DE spot in the 3-4 that would give us 4 free roaming LBs to drop into coverage or rush the passer with. Who else agrees this is a good idea?

He could be had for a 5th or 6th since the Jets are in desperation mode to unload him so they can sign their picks. He is young too so he is only going to get better.

The Jets are not in desperation mode, and no, he can't play the 3-4...at all. Or else the Jets would keep him. (there not exactly loaded with talent either)

For years the jets have been trying to make Robertson a 3-4 player, with no success.

I read somewhere that he had a bone on bone issue with his knee and that blew up the trade.

Where to begin? The Jets, moving to a 3-4, want to get rid of him because he is a poor fit.

Also, Robertson is the highest paid DT in the league. If we traded for him, he'd be our financial burden.

They had him miscast as a Nose Tackle though. That's why I think we could convert him. They never tried him at end.

I know they did, and he has been a terrible fit, thus they are trying to move him.

They probably never tried him at end because they think he's too short to play DE in the 3-4. At just 6'1", they might be right.

I say let the Jets keep him with all the rest of the overpaid bunch.

Bone on Bone says it all...

That is a long term issue there. Thus, that is why Cincy will not trade for him. Should be our reason not to trade as well, in addition to helping the enemy.

I coulda sworn he was 5'11 on draft day. I know all the sites say hes 6'1 but i dont buy it.
