The Jags have 9 and 20. They need a QB to to start their new direction after Coughlin.
Minshew is not the answer, he is an advertising ploy.
Do the Jags have enough to go to 3, select Tua or Herbert and leave Miami wondering what happened?
Detroit would still get a good player at 9.
Thoughts?

Hasn't this been beaten to death. We can match or beat any team.

We should not worry about nothing man! We should take it easy, take some speedsters and pounders in round 1 and 2.
And target McDonald and Gordon in round 3, no worries, low stress, low risk. Hop on with me!

I think it is very plausible. Nothing is guaranteed at 5. The Redskins would be smart to take Tua because Haskins is not the answer. The Lion should take Tua because Matt Stafford is not, and has not, been the answer in Detroit, and the Giants are delusional with Daniel Jones.

We will be lucky to get Tua, injuries and all, if he doesn't pan out, fine he is a bust like many, if he does pan out, he could be great, like very few.

But we shouldn't give up the house for him because he wont succeed without a good team to lead either.

I don’t see the Giants taking a QB. Jones played well and they like him a lot. I would be shocked.

I think Detroit wants to come away with Okudah, Brown or Simmons, one of the elite defenders in their reach.

Moving to 9 would risk not getting any of them.

I think Detroit is trying to sucker Miami into coming up to 3 for the QB.

I don't think Tua or Herbert is worth trading up for myself.

Jones played well enough for NYG to feel confident that they have their guy.

Gettleman will take his favorite OT or D Brown at 4.Maybe Simmons.

I think you really have to worry about them if they acquire a 3rd 1st round pick by trading Yannick

Why worry about them? Just make the trade with them. Get #9, maybe a 3rd this year, and next year's 1. Can you imagine having there 1st round pick net year? There is very high probability that will be the 1st overall. Should be in the top 5 easy. With 6 picks in the first 2 rounds we have more than enough ammo to trade for that 1st pick.

I read another trade rumor that actually made sense.

It was Rosen, 18th, and a 5th (this 5th doesn't seem realistic. Maybe a 4th or 3rd) for Fournette and the 9th pick.

We can draft a QB of our choosing at 5th and a top OT at 9th. We also get a bruiser back to pair with Howard.

Again, this is not my idea. I saw it somewhere but it makes sense. I'd do it only for 2 reasons.
1. Get rid of Rosen if he is not your QB.
2. Trade up to 9th.

I personally don't care much for Leonard Fournette. He is still on a friendly contract 4.1m and if he doesn't pan out, just cut him.

Minshew performed well for a rookie but I wouldn't be hitching my wagon to him. Jax has done a good job convincing everyone that's the case though.

I don’t know what’s with all the worrying. It’s like these are elite HOF prospects. Tua is small and made of glass. If he’s a Dolphin that’s fine but I’m tired of the idiotic podcaster driven notion that any QB in this draft is a generational talent. It’s really okay to miss out on a QB this year. Despite popular opinion this isn’t the last year you can draft a QB.
